    DC and DCC

Thanks for confirming this both of you. I couldnt see anything electrically but again, low experience levels so thought I better ask before cooking a loco, etc. Cheers again.

    DC and DCC

Hello, Question - with a track enabled for DCC with Bus and droppers, plus DCC clips in Hornby points (TT:120 type), could I run a DC (analogue) locomotives on it? Obviously not using DCC power supplies, but thinking more of a dual system, separated by a DPDT switch so I can change between the two? I cannot see what is stopping the concept apart perhaps the DCC clips causing issues? Thankyou.
  3. Jacob / Woodgate. Welcome and all the best on your journey. I am newish to all this too so enjoy it and see how it all pans out.
  4. Like all content, its there to view if so inclined. What it brings out for me is how early in the TT:120 journey we are, and in respect to a new/old gauge release, what have we got to compare it against? How long did N or OO gauges take to get going? If Hornby folds, I would feel disappointed and concerned with what I could financially lose with what I have invested so far (2nd time around), but would it be reasonable to assume another company would consume the brand and/or produce their own TT product to fill the void? Likely I should think. I think, lets see how the gauge builds, how they address quality concerns with locos, decoders, etc, and establish a gauge they have near total control over. You never know, other manufacturers may already be looking at new TT lines themselves on the back of Hornbys success with it.
  5. Brilliant. Thankyou so much @ntpntpntp. Didnt think about YT videos. Tried Hornby images but not clear enough. That one perfect! So happy!🫡
  6. Excellent. Worth going then us entry fee?
  7. It was! Same side. Has anyone got a Mallard to see where it goes back as body on WW is dfferent.
  8. It is! I just did the same! Thankyou all so much. Perhaps this episode is now over (fingers crossed, etc).
  9. Great you are all meeting, etc. Show good??
  10. True. Just ran it and not lifting so much now and suspect most of the irons have worn off! Still not sure where the other part is now from.
  11. @RallymattOn this occassion I dont think so. The "rubbed" plastic is clearly still visible and the front of the bogie also has wear.
  12. Sorry as I bet the mods and everyone is as fed up with this as me, but found another part now! Anybody know this bit and where from? Its like shedding parts currently.
  13. Thanks. I think this image also shows good fouling of the front bogie and suspect where it sticks and lifts off track.
  14. I think its the front body screw as the hole and washer shape is "dished". Hope this helps someone else too.
  15. What about this small plastic washer? Tender bar, front bogie screw or body screw. Can only one of these three as thats all I removed?
  16. Hi all - do Hornby do detailed part sheets like Bachmann does with their TT:120 locomotives so you know where the parts come from on the locomotive, part number, etc, etc?
  17. Enjoy the show all and remember TT120 content for us.😊
  18. It doesnt look broken - has it come off something?
  19. Thanks all. I didnt detach the oiler and do have the conrod spanner. The loco still runs but its missing the black bit which I think is broken?
  20. Thankyou. Dont think manual stated that. Will check.
