  1. I have just uploaded some footage of my A4 chassis (Mallard) and I cannot see the pip you reference.
  2. Phew - thanks for that. Any idea what mystery part is Rog RJ?
  3. Hello all. Bit of help needed please. I took the body off my Mallard (well tried) in an attempt to retrieve the lost black tape from under front bogie area. First observation / query - does the body just come clear with the 3 screws like it states in manual and is there meant to be a part of the wheel connecting rods connected to body shell? Second observation - can anyone tell me where the spare part belongs and how I fit it back on? Could someone check their Mallard for me so I can compare? I have uploaded a YT video of the incident on my channel @TaffsTT120. YT content link below - "17. I broke my Mallard":
  4. My Mallard is lifting. Took the tape off to start working towards a fix and lost the tape within the loco body somewhere! Not tried anything else yet.
  5. I bet a lot did the same. 😊
  6. Dodge - I am still waiting the BR Blue 08 and the Carless Petrol tanker - they are not showing and will more be produced? Anybody know?
  7. Looks great and will continue following your progress. Enjoy your layout!
  8. Both myself and @Peachy have uploaded content from Doncaster on respective YT channels in case you wanted to see some TT:120 running.
  9. All good information again. Thankyou for the enhanced guidance and assurance.
  10. Thanks Fishmanoz, very re-assuring.
  11. Hello. I am intending to convert my TT:120 Hornby track layout to full DCC using my NCE Powercab as the DCC controller (as I have one for my OO gauge layout) and to also save some pennies in the process. My points currently have Point clips (TT8035) fitted to them. I also intend to have droppers around the layout and utilise a bus. As I do not use clips on my OO gauge, will I have any issue with the clips on my TT:120 layout with the NCE Powercab in this dcc layout? I suspect as the frogs are different on my TT compared to my OO layout (Peco Insulfrog I believe), I have concerns with shorts, damaging the NCE Powercab, etc.
  12. Thankyou all so far for the contributions and enhanced knowledge I have gained from Reverse Loops, layout design and general help and support. @hobby has made a good point and I am grateful for the honesty here. 96RAF has also made it clear I should continue researching topics. My experience, planning and knowledge is poor admittedly. I have gone from a 4x4 to a 6x3, from a double loop with lots of sidings to a single loop with a reverse loop and now back to a reverse loop with a loop and not needing a reverse loop! Evidence I think a stop is required and a rethink. I want too much from a small space. I wanted a passenger loop or two that I could also run mixed freight over. I wanted sidings for shunting work and something to work when a loop was running. I liked the "look" of a Reverse loop, but I think its smaller size defeats such a look I was after. Thanks all. Hopefully with a rethink, improved planning and slowing down, I will get whatever I am looking for and be content.
  13. Thanks @Rallymatt. Appreciate checking for me as I wasnt sure if I put two reverse loops in there.
  14. So sorry to bother you good folk again, but if I did the above layout would the reverse only be between orange and blue pliers or do I now have two here? Thankyou in advance
  15. Thanks all - will heed all the appreciated advice afforded. Thankyou for the time and effort in helping me.
  16. Went to Digitrains Ltd of Lincoln today as they now stock TT120 - I did a YT video of my small haul:
  17. More queries. If I have insulated rail joiners (IRJ) and lets say I isolate power to Reverse Loop (RL) with switch, what would stop a train being the short circuit when crossing over the IRJ and the wheel sets (i.e. say front set on RL and rear set on track before IRJ)? Thanks in advance as always!
  18. These look great thanks and provides some great inspiration.
  19. Thanks @Rallymatt. I believe it might have to go back to no reverse loop for now and expand into Hornby Elite at a later date. I guess the upgraded Hornby R7337 15V 4A power supply also not suitable for dcc then and is more a dc item? Thankyou once again. Great information and response.
  20. Great information thanks.
  21. Looking great and not burning house down is a bonus lol!
  22. @Rallymatt. Great explanation on what the issues are with HM7000 bluetooth vs a reverse loop. On Highfell do you run it via dcc then? I am visiting Digitrains Friday (as they now retail TT:120) and Doncaster show Saturday. Any advice on what components to get to go full normal dcc with my layout?
  23. Thankyou so much to all the contributions and very detailed explanations. The reverse loop was made unintentionally while trying a different look / feel to two normal loops. I do run "dcc" (HM7000) via Bluetooth and use the Hornby dc 15V 4A power suppy so from what I get from the infomation here and faqs is: Bluetooth is not like normal dcc so auto reversers and the like wont work. I do have an NEC powercab on my OO layout. Perhaps a change to the "standard" dcc on TT will be better so I can get auto reversers, etc?
  24. Yes...I disconnected it and got 15v then realised I had a reverse loop. Will check out the dcc faqs. Thanks
