  1. Yeah, I'm surprised by @Peachy 's first post. I thought he would have asked for DMUs... 😉😆
  2. You’re right. Read their announcement on RMWeb. It’s clear that they’re dipping their toe in the water. https://www.rmweb.co.uk/forums/topic/185514-tt-accurascale-without-the-bikes-and-ioman/
  3. You know, fact checking myself, they did remove the running numbers but not the brand/era. I think I overstated it. So, BR Era 6 and EWS Era 9 Class 37 are still listed. But the running numbers are gone. Hmm… I agree with you 100%. The Class 37 in BR Blue and BR Large Logo are legendary. I’m hoping they add those into the launch selection. The Class 37 is a bit like the 08s with their many liveries. Heck, Arnold could even release the Class 37 livery it wore when some of them were helping to build high speed rail lines in France and Spain. Louis mentioned they were building in tooling for future variants, so I’m upbeat about future versions coming out. Hornby could even release new variants every 6 months if they like. And even though a BR Green Class 37 and a Rail Direct Services Class 37 are both the same tooling, their addressable markets are vastly different. A Class 37 can work alongside a Gresley A3 or a Class 67. Such a versatile locomotive! The Class 37 is one of the best products for a model rail manufacturer to produce. It’s one of those rare tooling projects that can make people modeling in Eras 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 happy. That’s a great product with a huge market!
  4. I think it’s worth noting that the originally announced Class 31 and Class 37 liveries/running numbers might have been cancelled. The recent catalogue has the variants removed from the product description. I think we’ll see information on what variants of the Class 37 we’ll be getting sometime in early 2025.
  5. The HST set is also great entry point. The sets are superb value. Basically, you can’t go wrong with any three of the sets. I had the HST on preorder, so mine had shipped by the time the HST set was announced. If I had known it was coming out, I would have waited until Autumn. They’re the absolute best way to get the most for your money.
  6. We're still awaiting the LNER Teak coaches. Their release date is speculated to be 2025, but right now that's a guess. Ultimately, as @Rallymatt said, we have to make use of what's available. There are four Pullman coaches in the range currently. Two are available for sale right now, and two are set for an Autumn release. You can see the appropriate names and product codes for these products: . Also, I highly recommend the TT:120 Scotsman sets, which come with 3 Pullmans: There's currently no Pullman 3rd Parlor, but I suspect that will come in due time.
  7. Here’s the Revolution cofounder’s expression of interest in TT: https://www.rmweb.co.uk/forums/topic/174747-hornby-announce-tt120/?do=findComment&comment=5347135
  8. One other mystery that has existed since October of 2022. What are TT6018, TT6019, TT6020, and TT6021? Are there secret wagons that have been slowly progressing through development? Maybe they've been cancelled. But the original TT announcement back October 2022 skipped those numbers. Over analyzing? Who would ever over analyze around here? 🤔😉🤣 I noticed that too. No steam at all on there. Here's one hypothesis. Because of the small-tank locomotives jumping the queue, the upcoming steam products don't need sound profiles. Why? Because the J92 and GWR Pannier (like the J50) are going to be using a 6-pin decoder socket. The 9F and Castle might slip in favor of the J92, Pannier, and possibly an LMS locomotive. This would run counter to my idea of 2025 being "the year of GWR" though. I have to say, 2025 is going to be much more exciting. We're really going to be going into uncharted waters. We know of 3 new tooling projects confirmed for 2025. These are the Class 37, Mk 2e, and the KFA Wagons. Beyond that, it's much more speculative. Do you want me to go bankrupt or something? 😆
  9. Personally, I doubt it's a new locomotive tooling. Usually, the locomotive numbers have been clustered. For example, 3010, 3011, 3012 are all Duchesses. The same is true with the J50s (3024, 3025, 3026). I'm thinking the J94, Pannier, and 9F will all launch with multiple variants (for example, the J94 could be 3029, 3030, and 3031). This leaves three possibilities for TT3027: 1) It is a one-off locomotive re-livery of an HST, A1/A3, or A4. 2) It is an additional J50 that is being kept back for a surprise (it would follow in the sequence of already announced J50s- 3024, 3025, 3026, 3027). 3) It is part of a group of new 08s that include 3027, 3028, and possibly 3029.
  10. Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. It was clearly approved right before the green 08. A black 08 with the early BR crest would be appropriate. It would also fit alongside the Era 4 locomotives nicely. Of course, if it is an 08, there are many liveries to choose from! You're right that there aren't many liveries the J50 wore. One they could do is the LNER Black with red lining. It's a pretty livery!
  11. Here's a question. What's TT3027M? 🤔
  12. Hmm, and I guess that the VEA wagons are the one previously announced wagon that has been cancelled. While it's sad to lose a wagon, the VEAs were kind of niche. They were designed for the MoD. If anyone was planning a layout with some sort of military presence, this represents a blow. But I suspect most other TT customers won't mind. Losing the VGA wagons or the conflats would have been far worse. I'm totally fine with this.
  13. I've seen some worry about the Mk 2e and the GBRF Class 50. I suspect that they want to focus attention on the products arriving in 2024. We've known for a while that those two were slipping into 2025, and this confirms it. I don't think this represents a cancellation. Instead, it seems more likely that they're waiting to include them once they're closer to release. Why sell a product that you can't take money for? That's my guess. I could be wrong, but I won't get panicked until they take them off the website...
  14. What scale is this? It's surely not TT. Everyone knows that you can't do serious modeling in TT scale! 🤣
  15. According to Gaugemaster, the first of the new Mk 3s are about to begin arriving. In this case, this is the GWR livered TSOs. There's no sign of the remaining GWR Mk 3s or the BR Mk 3s. Also, a single LMS/BR Passenger brake is arriving too. https://www.gaugemasterretail.com/news/article/view/id/1767/
  16. Agreed! And suitable rolling stock for the early Deltics are already in the pipeline. They hauled Mk 1s and Pullmans throughout the 1960s. Eventually, they would switch out those coaches in favor of the Mk 2as. We don't have those, but towards the end of their service life they would haul air-conditioned Mk 2s like the Mk 2e that Hornby is developing. I also wouldn't be surprised if Hornby has a Mk 2d in the pipeline, which would also be great for the late Class 55s... I would buy it, so long as I could fit the HM 7000 decoder in it. I know it might sound silly, but I'm not interested in buying a whole DCC system to just control a single locomotive.
  17. That’s a good point! It also explains the warning about the research team not suddenly building (TT)^2 models. That’s what the real life people these figures are based on might be doing! Can you imagine all the people who dismissed TT realizing Accurascale is getting into the market? Some people LOVE Accurascale. Many of those types of people were the ones most vehemently opposed to TT:120. Suddenly, they would have to choose between hating TT and loving Accurascale! 🤣 Many of Accurascale’s OO classic models have already been announced in TT (37, 47, 31, 50, 66). But I’d be happy to buy a TT:120 Class 55!
  18. Hmm… If Accurascale does start making rolling stock, I imagine they’d start with some of their wagons. Still early to say though. I did appreciate this bit of humor: Warning: Figures are not guaranteed to begin producing 1:14400th models for your layout. 🤣 Revolution is the one I’m really excited for. Their wagons are great. I’m worried with all these high quality wagons coming out, I might end up buying a Class 66…
  19. Wow! And CAD renderings of KFAs for the Class 66s to pull! https://www.keymodelworld.com/article/tt120-kfa-cad-breaks-cover Hornby was holding back on us! 🤣
  20. I think there is a strong possibility that this is the case. By October/November, most of the April 2nd 2024 products should be arriving or about to arrive. They also will have worked through the majority of their existing preorders. These include the Duchesses, Class 50s, HSTs, HAAs, Mk 2fs, 21 Ton wagons, etc. That opens up early 2025, where we don't have much guidance for what we'll get. New Mk 1s and A4s are planned for the near future. The magazine references this. They may have fallen down on the priority list, but they're coming.
  21. There have been several good recaps, including from our own @Peachy . One I actually really enjoyed came from "That Model Railway Guy." He seemed optimistic while still being realistic. I'm quite happy to have him representing the scale. I look forward to seeing his series!
  22. That's a good point! It's also not a monstrous tooling project like Big Boy. Hmm...
