Yug
Got fed up of buying the small aerosols of gloss varnish at a fiver a tin. Decided to invest in a big tin of Plasticote clear. BIG MISTAKE, It was okay until I sprayed it over the decals and ruined them. Also tried a big tin of Hycote grey primer, okay first time I used it but next time it was difficult to spray and splattered the kit all over. Had to sand it of and do another coat with Humbrol. I've learned my lesson.
Kenneth ONeill
Aerosols have a "shelf life" based on the pressure of the propellant rather than on the "clumpiness" of the paint base and pigment. This is why you see people talking about keeping them in warm water baths for hours before using them. ironsides
What might help is to remove and thourghly clean the spray cap with a solvent after each use... I've found that this has helped to avoid blobbing in the past... and spray in a warm room 😉
Bletch
BIG MISTAKE, It was okay until I sprayed it over the decals and ruined them. Not used this product myself but certainly been caught out by clear coat ruining decals.I now leave decals at least a week before clear coating.Halfords do "big cans" of primer that are good value and give good results for me.
