NWR-Gordon-4
The Hornby Collectors Club page, on the Hornby website says the same thing: "join today!"; Apart from it not letting you, due to the registering your interest box is in the way and there is no joining box there! 😆 GNR-Gordon-
VC
All very confusing,Come on Hornby you might at least tell your customers when the club is meant to be up and running
walkingthedog
Does it really matter, are there not far more important things in life? 😉
4MT
Hornby should still be getting things sorted even though things in life are more important 😛
walkingthedog
It’s a model train club. It would make no difference to the hobby if it didn’t exist. When the club is ready they'll tell us. If they say it will be ready on the 27th March and it’s a day late people will moan. Better if they say nothing..........people will still moan 😉
4MT
walkingthedog sorry for jumping in before I read the thread properly mate, I should have paid more attention about when it will be up and running. 😉 😳
walkingthedog
Think how excited everybody will be when it arrives. All of my neighboures have asked me to arrange a street party. 😎
NWR-Gordon-4
Can't believe how much demand there is, for the Club relaunch, launch. Hornby may be tweaking the Club a bit, so the get it right and not launch it quickly and make a mistake or launch with some feature that might out people off it. I am sure it will be coming very soon and I am sure it will be annoucned when it launches, via Hornby's emails and on this Forum, so why don't we have a bit of patience and wait just a bit longer? 😀 GNR-Gordon-
Bulleidboy
Being a bit flippant - the magazine with the two-page spread was the February 2018 edition of Hornby Magazine - it's not February until tomorrow!
Fishmanoz
Well WTD, I guess you’ll be missing from the forum for a while so you can do the shopping, get some barricades from the Council, fire up the barbie, cook the snags, peal the prawns, put the beer on ice and cut up the salad. Hope you don’t end up with a total fire ban day, we’ve had a few of those lately. Oops, forgot, England in winter, not likely.
Fishmanoz
Oops, forgot one thing - design and get the banners made up. You know the ones, with pictures of all the previous Club models, and the flashing lights ‘cause it gets dark so early.
walkingthedog
It’s ready Fishy. The barbie has been on since last summer, it was a wednesday in July can’t remember which one, and everything else is on standby. Flypast by the Red Arrows is organised and the track is ready for Flying Scotsman and King George V to steam by.

Fishmanoz
Excellent WTD, always knew if you were going to do something, it would be done well. So come on Hornby, get the Club up and running again so the party can start!!
Jeff Mennell
WTD, is this party invite only or open to all? Very kind of you to arrange this..... don't forget to send a taxi to collect me, cheers.

Fishmanoz
No it’s outside our house. The Red Arrows won’t display inside. If you raised the chandelier a tad, they could fly in the front door without hitting it, out through the patio doors and do something spectacular as they gained height over the barble before disappearing over the back fence. Just be careful though, that red white and blue smoke gets into everything. Then again, PP’s told me privately you’re always blowing smoke so it will just make things more colourful. Note to Jacob - you’ll need to google blowing smoke.
walkingthedog
Now you’re just being silly fishy. I can’t raise the chandelier.
Fishmanoz
Obviously no foresight WTD, but not to worry, just get the party to raise the roof!
