Class 319 EMU

It doesn't interest me personally, too late for my era, although I do have some 'modern' items these are exception rather than the rule. However it is worth considering what is currently taking place with the old Thameslink fleet, the hybrid conversions and transfers to other operators in different parts of the country.

As well as the two liveries mentioned above so far this millenium there have been -

Connex yellow / white

Thameslink dark blue and orange (at least two versions)

Southern white and two tone green

First Group 'urban lights' blue and multi colour

Govia Thameslink light grey and white

London Midland white/grey green and black

Northern Purple and blue

Northern Purple and White

Transport for Wales red and white

Great Western dark green

plus one offs and advertising / event liveries.

So could be a lucrative type.

Class 313's have given 40 years service to the Great Northern inner suburban service from WGC to Moorgate and Kings Cross. They also ran to Hertford North and Gordon Hill to Moorgate. Some have seen service on Southern. They were dual Voltage as the ran on 25Ac and 750dc so were very useful emu. They also match the 319's Thames Link and also the Great Eastern had the own 314/5's which were only 25AC if I remember correctly
