Mark-351574
Is anyone else having issues with ordering from the Airfix web site? When I hit the proceed to payment button I get..."Unable to post to a PO Box"Despite using the same address I always use.

SD45elect2000
Courier services like DHL FedEx etc cannot deliver to a P.O. Box-unless there is a local agreement with the post office. Unless it’s shipping USPS I need to use a street address.
Mark-351574
I am in the UK, I'm not trying to get it delivered to a PO Box, I'm using my home address which I've used countless times for orders from Airfix.
Mark-351574
Still happening, I was hoping it would get fixed and there are only 2 days lefts on the double points offer :(
Jeanette-351786
I have been trying to place an order since yesterday but for some reason i can't even pay for the item the checkout process seems corrupt, saying that i will probably get 13 Avro Ansons delivered next week smiley
Ratch
I don't know what to suggest, other than you contact Airfix direct.
seangoat
I just placed an order and selected the option to use the Hobby points. Once payment was complete the points have NOT been included in the order. I have contacted customer services.
Mark-351574
Yeah, they won't be back in until Tuesday at which point the double points offer would have ended..
Ratch
Mark, you may be (justifiably) disappointed, but I don't know any on-line modelling forum which allows thinly veiled profanities - your post is hidden!
Adrian-352009
I can remember having issues with the Hobby points just before Christmas when using PayPal. The discounted price would appear on the order page but as I went through to PayPal the deduction was missing and I was being charged full price. It was fine though when I used my bank card. Dave-352142
I'm having exactly the same problem. So disappointing.Wanted to order the 1/24 spitfire and a ton of paint..the double points was only way I could afford to do it..Have emailed them because I can't even order as a guest
Mark-351574
Yep ditto, tried different browsers, guest etc.. nothing
seangoat
Something clearly wrong with their ordering system. They are not responding to email either.
Adrian-352009
They certainly need to acknowledge the fact they are aware of the situation. Fair enough the system malfunction was probably out of their control particularly as it occurred over a bank holiday weekend but it's how you deal with the aftermath that defines you and silence is not going to endear you to your customers. Ratch
Don't expect anyone from Airfix to reply here.
Adrian-352009
I don't expect a reply on here but I would expect them to answer disappointed customer emails as quickly as possible and post a generic apology on Twitter,Facebook or whatever social media platform they favour. DoubleD
I have always found that ringing them gets a prompt favourable resolution
Mark-351574
Still an issue, I have emailed them, but judging by last time when I had a duplicate sprue in a model I ordered (so I was missing one), it took over 4 weeks from response to actually getting the missing sprue, by which point I'd gone off it. Adrian-352009
A phone call is probably fine when dealing with an individual problem relating to a faulty product but as this seems to be on a much larger scale (I would imagine far less than 10% of customers who have had issues are actually even going to post on this forum so we're probably talking high double or even triple numbers of disappointed people) I do think it needs to be addressed by a generic social media post or generic email to all subscribers. Mark-351574
As an FYI, I just tried the Edge browsers on Windows (urgh) and that works. So Chrome and Safari on my laptop, desktop and iPad do not work.
Adrian-352009
Or alternatively Airfix can say nothing, not answer emails and alienate their customers when I expect they are desperately in need of attracting a new fanbase as when my generation has gone they will have lost the vast majority of the nostalgia driven revenue that keeps the brand afloat. Mark-351574
Except that was when I was trying as a guest, when I logged in under Edge, same thing! My Postcode begins with PO, but as above, I have ordered countless things on my Airfix account. Mark-351574
They have acknowledged there is a glitch in the system which they are trying to resolve.
seangoat
I hope somebody can help me out here . When reading the Airfix facebook post about the Hobby Reward Points offet over the easter weekend I read it as meaning that when making a purchase if you used your Hobby points they would be worth double. Am I correct ? I finally got response from customer services who say that "The Double Rewards points offer was for earning double points when ordering Easter weekend not doubling existing points". Strangely the Facebook post can no longer be found. Furthermore my Hobby reward account states that I am due 675 points ( I spent 67.50 on a Vehicle mystery box plus 10% disccount). If what customer services is saying is true how come I am not due 1375 points ? Something not right there. I will be calling on Monday
