Airfix - What's your Latest Acquisition?

Recommended Posts

A couple more added to the stash;

- Airfix Gloster Meteor III (1/72)

- Arma Models Grumman FM-2 Wildcat Expert Set (1/72)

Almost forgot:

Airfix Titanic Starter Set - going to be away from home for a while so taking this to see if I can build something other than aircraft using only what is supplied in the kit. Could be fun (or not).  😀

A few more kits and accessories to add to my 'Unique Flight' build project. Only missing a few aircraft now. Hopefully get back home soon and start building again.

Hi All

Even though I recently posted I'd had to get rid of a pile of old kits I visited our LMS (Now re-opened after lock-down.) and couldn't resist some new offerings. Actually the Roden ones I'd ordered last year. The Dornier Do 17Z I couldn't resist even though one of the kits I'd let go was the old Frog model which included the Finnish markings.

The rest are all 1/72 WW1 armour or sort-of.

I seem to have a thing for artillery, I've made several of these ACE kits and they're quite a challenge. Should be interesting.

Looks like I'm getting my MoJo back. Now all I have to do is finish all the half completed models that's been left since my hospital visit.

Remember we do this for fum.                                      John the Pom

I know the feeling. Hood is likely more than 30 years in waiting, others 20 or so except Ark Royal & Belfast bought for parts...Waiting...

Wasn't expecting to add anything else to the stash this year. But in Sept i came across somthing i just could not pass up. One of my 2 holy grail kits is the Cyber Hobby 251/23, i have been after this kit for about 10 years. Then i saw one for sale on scalemates and the guy wanted jst under £50 for it, but he is in Canada. So i messaged him and after a few weeks he came back with a postage price then sent if off jst over a week ago, and its now arrived.

The postage bumped it up to £80 and then the HMRC slapped a customs charge on it which brought it up to almost 100. So its now the most i have ever paid for a kit but worth every penny. And certainly better than the 150+ i have seen on the odd occasion one is on e-bay. But it won't be joining the rest of the stash in the shed, it will stay up in my model room where i can keep it safe.

Now, if somone would do a 1/72nd Ju 87C, i can die a happy man.
