Jackplugs for T20 transformer?

I'm using T20 transformer to power Meccano, but I can't find jackplugs to fit it. Can anyone tell me where to find some? At the moment I'm using 3mm banana plugs, but they are a very loose fit and fall out. Thanks!

Whilst I could not find any direct information about the connectors for the Mecanno power supply, I do think I have a solution for you.

Banana plugs come in 3mm, 4mm, 5.5mm & etc.

Would it not be very straightforward to simply get a few larger sizes than 3mm and trial them?

Edit: to be more scientific, with the power off, measure the diameter of the hole of the female connector. Get the next size up banana jack (male) to get moderate compression.

Andy, I am assuming you have tried 4mm bananas and found them too big.

Therefore try these specialist 3.5mm bananas designed for RC car power but could be repurposed for T20.

Thanks for your post. I've tried 4mm banana plugs, & they're too big. I've tried 3mm banana plugs, & they're too small. While 3.5mm banana plugs exist, I'd have to buy a bag of 20 plugs and sockets, just to get a couple of plugs that still may be too big. And I'd rather have vintage Hornby jacks that look the part than gold plated bling! I just thought someone on here may know where I could get original parts, or something that looks similar.

3.5mm mono audio jacks are cheap as chips and all over ebay etc. I'd try a pair of those and just bridge the tip and ring when you wire them up?

Are these any good? I have no personal experience of them. Seller also has matching inline sockets.

I think these transformers were not made beyond the 1950s so an age of around 70 years is more likely.

After digging around for awhile, I finally have some Mecanno part numbers for you.

Mecanno 611 Plug is as ntpntpntp shows in that ebay listing. Here assembled

Mecanno 612 Plug is, in my view, the better connector.

With these part numbers, it may be easier to find replacement parts.

Those Meccano yellow plugs look like they're from the 70s rather than the 50s, but I'm ordering a couple anyway to see whether they fit. If they don't, I'll order some of the bling 3.5 plugs. Thanks to all for your help. When I find plugs that fit I'll post here, in case someone else ends up with the same query.
