ntpntpntp
Might be more useful actually to mention the name of the film in the thread title :)

Rana Temporia
I am supposed the rude word filter didn’t stop this thread. It’s stopped some of mine for less grinning
Engine shed 1
That's because it's the name of the film and it's well known about the film may be.
CORKY.
See the 14xx going down the High Street as well.I seem to remember, if you look closely through the pretend loco wheels, you can see the rubber tyres of the road vehicle, and yes I will probably watch it again, especially as there is no F1 for months. atom3624
I thought this thread would be alight with comments!Just saw the film - recorded. I'm thinking it was the 4th time in my lifetime I've seen it.How to kill 2x 14xx 0-4-2 tank engines - shame really.Humour still 'understandable' today and very entertaining.Al. P-Henny
I was specifically looking out for the rubber tyred wheels. And yes, when the camera angle briefly changes from a side view to a distant rear view. The inner wheels and the clear gap between the outer metal wheels and the road surface are clearly visible. This is where the 'pause' live transmission in many modern TVs comes into its own.
Bulleidboy
Although I have seen it since, I remember my mother taking me to see the film in 1953 at the Odeon Cinema in Muswell Hill, London N10 - I think the cinema might still be there? 81F
The high street that was used was in Woodstock, Oxfordshire which hasn't changed very much. except for a few white lines to mark out parking places. Apparently the sequence was actually shot during the day and made to look like nighttime
Topcat2018
A lot of old films were shot in daylight with a blue filter on the camera lens to make it look like night, for example the old Hammer horror films.
