AirportsEd
Is it true that the legendary Airfix box artist Roy Cross has passed away? I saw an online note earlier but not sure if it is true. I hope not, but I have always had the greatest admiration for his work; it had such a great influence on me. Ed

null_null981707818191
Very sad news - I'm so glad I've got the various books to help me remember what a brilliant artist he was. His illustrations must have inspired many generations to try model-making. My condolences to Roy's family.
Sailorman
How sad, he died 1 day after his 100th birthday. I've spent so many pleasant hours admiring his paintings. I'm sure many others did the same. His artwork was what would inspire me when selecting which kit to spend my precious 2/6d on.
