Then my better half decided she didn't like the smell of solvent/thinners when I airbrushed in the house, so I disposed of most of my tins and switched mainly to acrylics. I still have some enamels, but my paint usage is predominantly water based. I seem to have acquired quite a few colours. Captain.Glumbo Posted August 23 Share Posted August 23 I’ve got all the humbrol acrylics now, with revel and tamiya ones where the kit called out and I didn’t have it at the time in Hu. Though I did get the clear Tanya for running lights etc. I also just got the super Metallics from mr. paul71 Posted August 24 Share Posted August 24 when i got back into model making i bought a job lot of paints most were Humbrol enamels some of which were the much old discontinued colours and ive got more tins out of the older sets I've bought over time and picked up a few Revell tins these mostly sit in draws out of the way, now i mainly use acrylic paints a lot of them are the small Humbrol pots out of starter sets I've got a few Revell acrylics and some sets of Vallejo model air sets. A J Rimmer Posted August 27 Share Posted August 27 I switched from solely enamels to water-based acrylics about ten years ago as both my kids have Autism and highly sensitive senses of smell. I started with Humbrol acrylic but whilst some of them (I'm thinking hum#64, #90) painted very well, most of them didn't. When Hataka started releasing their paint sets, I jumped over to their blue and red lines - so I was a user of theirs from the get-go. Here is most of my collection I also use a selection of Humbrol, AK, Vallejo and Ammo depending on what colours I need. I Also paint Citadel Miniatures from time to time, so I have a far selection of Vallejo Game and Citadel paints as well. I have some Revell Aqua, Vallejo metallics and some others as well. Cheers!
