  1. The R602 takes push in wires. What does the Gaugemaster come with.
  2. Looks like it is held by three screws. The bottom one appears to be under the motor.
  3. Is the worm gear on the motor shaft too high to mesh with the gear wheel. It only takes a mm to stop them meshing.
  4. The motor has obviously come adrift. The parts that hold it in place are held in place using screws. See if you can find the offending part.
  5. 3 similar answers at 2 minute intervals. 😆
  6. Sounds as if either the motor has come adrift so the drive cogs aren't meshing or one of the cogs is slipping on its shaft/axle.
  7. If you think about what you have described the rolling stock must be getting a gentle tug if as you say they run freely. You say it does it with all the locos
  8. Do the wagons run freely if you give them a gentle shove or do they stop fairly quickly. This sort of thing generally means the loco is jerking along although it might not be apparent.
  9. Might help if you told us what it is.
  10. Turn the loco round and see if it does the same going in reverse in the other direction.
  11. Does that mean you have spent next years tenner as well Rob. Like the Prestwin wagon.
  12. You never know. Would be a very expensive exercise to produce track just for Steam Punk.
  13. I used to. I just used it, not sure what there is to modify. Sorry.
  14. Princess Coronation and an 0-4-0, almost the same. 😆
  15. Perhaps you spelt T9 incorrectly 😆
  16. Can't help but sold all my layout earlier this year and the buyer said the boxes almost doubled what he would give me.
  17. Is there Rog, if it's the right thing. https://www.petersspares.com/peters-spares-ps61-replacement-hornby-t9-motor-mount.ir
  18. That is an excellent way of hinging the flap. Looks great.
  19. Trouble with glueing the motor in place is that the modern motors don't last for ever and ard not easily repairable so there is a very good chance it will have to come out.
  20. I still believe repairing the motor mounts or any other removable part with Areldite is a huge mistake. They are removable for a reason.
  21. Good point Mico, never thought of that. Doh! Of all the locos I have 'got going' for my friends, I would say 80% of them were not Hornby.
  22. If you are talking to me Mico I am aware of the faults and have repaired many locos for other people including the T9. In over 60 years of railway modelling what can go wrong has gone wrong. Anything can be repaired, eventually. 😉
  23. Me too. Mini engineering is the best part of model railways.
  24. Very specialised, don't think it will be a big seller. I suggest if you want it, build it yourself. 😉.
