WW2. (not so) British Paratroops 1:72 (01723)
Tomek22 replied to Tomek22's topic in Figures, Dioramas & Scenery
Hi, jopress57, john redman is right! Look here: Plastic Soldier Review - Airfix British Paratroops -
I have painted some of my British Paratroops in 1:72. I think there more generic Paras, because manyof this figures is not correct. But I love them nevertheless!. So I painted them into fantasy style uniform color.

In 1989 I bought this Mosquito NF. Since many years it was in my collection. This nightfighter flew for the No.23 Sqn.

Many Years ago (I think more than 35) I built this Beaufighter TF.X. It is a very simple Kit and easy to construct. Only a few details, not even a cockpit. I painted it with brush and Humbrol Colours. The construction manual says you have to choose between Rockets, or a Torpedo. I used both. My Model is a TF.X No.236 Squadro, RAF, North Coates, June 1944.

Very good paintjob!! Thank you for sharing.thumbsup

Here are some pictures from my Type 97 "Chi-Ha" Tank. The camouflage is a little bit different from suggestion. The Kit makes fun, but the hatches can`t not open.

Thanks, jopres57! I do not know exactly. I build it some time ago. But I thnk it was "chieftain green" from WarPaint. -
My Bedford Mk.4 (1:76). It`s an 2008 Airfix Model, but the Model is originally from JB Models. This is easily to build. Hope it returns to the Airfix range .

I have done another "what if". This time a BAe Sea Harrier F2 (1:72). What if the German (Bundeswehr) Navy flew some in the mid `90s? The coloring is the same as the british version.

jopres57, this is a clean, good build! thumbsup

Thank you Hurricane Boy and jopres57!

For my Falkland War collection I finished the HMS Dido (after almost three years). For the first time I built a "water surface" from ploystyrene with some body filler and painted it in some blue shades.

For April, 2. 2022, the 40. years anniversary of the Falklands War, I built this 1:72 "What if" Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.1 in Argentine colours. End of the 1960s Hawker Siddeley made a huge promotion tour through the world with their new Harrier GR.1. Several countries were interested in this plane. Also Argentinia. The argentine Navy was interested to buy up to 12 GR.1 in 1971/72. But the deal could not be closed, because problems with the engines and Hawker Siddeley had to deliver the Royal Air Force first. So the Argentines purchased A-4 P/Q Skyhawks. Later, only six months before the Falklands War, UK offered Argentina a new carrier and Sea Harriers. This is, not out of the question, a very "real" "what if". What if the Argentines have had Harriers, or Sea Harriers in the Falklands? An exciting question.
