  1. Edit, cos I missed the time window : ... looks like i'll have 8 coaches in Spring, and 2 HM7K locos in Summer, so it still going to hammer the CC πŸ˜„
  2. well I guess the positive is there will not be a lump sum landing on the CC in one go now πŸ˜„
  3. Looking good πŸ‘ if you are looking for other buildings, you could put a coal depot, diesel tanks (if running diesels) maintenance platforms, small warehouse/storage building etc in that area ...
  4. Excellent idea, and clearly explained. Great video RM πŸ‘
  5. Now, If some clever person can come up with a way to run one decoder only, and still have directional lights for DCC .... Stop it ... I must resist this slippery slope and stick to steam 😁
  6. There were coaches and track etc in those sets ? If so they must have been incorrect prices, Peachy may have a bargain if its honoured πŸ˜„
  7. I adapted mine quite easily. as it was a while back, I cant recall exactly what I did .. but I do recall it only took a minute or two with a Dremel type tool πŸ˜„ Here is a pic of the item in question, look at the underside of a stock one and it should become clear what I removed 😊
  8. I would love to see an 0-6-0 of any steam flavour (especially one with room for an HM7000 sound decoder from factory). but I am thinking its a little ways off yet. That doesn't diminish looking forward to the announcement at all. Diesels are not my cuppa, but it is still great to see them enter the range and I have watched all the usual suspects threads and vids with the new class 43's with interest πŸ™‚ @Rallymatt you hit the nail on the head with your closing sentence 😁
  9. Yep, although the idea of a Model railway was in my head, it was seeing the TT120 bit on the show that had me looking on the PC after, and planning the next day 😁
  10. I had also got some Dapol couplings and mini round Neos, but have not got around to experimenting yet, my intentions were exactly the same πŸ™‚ The dapol track magnets require cutting sleepers from track in place, neos would just require some ballast clearance ! (not to mention cost less). I would be interested to see how it progresses.
  11. Yes, I concur, nice positive and realistic overview. nice job guys πŸ‘
  12. Here is my little layout on a 2.44mx 0.94m (or 8x3'1'' in old money) board. Still a lot to do, signals, people and things going on, but not had much time these last few months !
  13. I concur, watch your total to avoid UK customs. I have had several purchases from them, no issues.
  14. Nice find, they have a few bits that are usefull for TT120 modelers and a flat wagon. TT gauge – Three Peaks Models
  15. In that instance, my post was 10 minutes old and wouldn't let me edit. 😁
  16. Hi CaNNoN_1981, thanks for the input, maybe it is the Tablet then ..
  17. Any news on the near edge of screen poor touch screen detection on android tablets ? It could be just me, but 2 very different android tablets have exhibited the same symptons, "picking up" control sliders fron near the edge is very tricky, and using buttons like the edit button in the loco profile picture are very hit and miss for me in landscape mode at least.
  18. Editing time seems very short , so added as separate post ! My soldering skills are very basic, so the less I have to do the better, hence why I would opt for a ready made rectifier. I did not intend my post to be a criticism, so apologies if it came across that way. 😊
  19. No doubt your videos are always helpful and enlightening Richard πŸ‘
  20. Ok, resistor on output, thanks πŸ‘ But if the led strip used has 6 to 8 leds per coach length strip (I am assuming these strips are wired in parallel ?) then is the resistor value correct ?
  21. Great video. TBH you can pick up bridge rectifiers pretty easily and cheaply on ebay, I found "1A DIL Bridge Rectifiers 200V" pack of 10 for Β£3.80 with free delivery, so likely the route I would go once I work out which leg(s) the caps and resistors need to be soldered too ! I am guessing resistor on any input leg, cap across the outputs ?
  22. Good, now maybe you can do a video tutorial on setting up the recently released Legacy dongle so I don't have to read destructions πŸ˜‹
  23. On the theme of Dodge City - Boot Hill. Slightly O.T but I would love to see a track plan if you have one please. I was watching one of your vids the other day and it looked a great layout.
  24. I think those 00 modeling TT120 doubters are just upset because their models are too big for their rails ! But seriously someone needs to call these you tubers out for presenting speculation as facts and misinformation. I would wager TT120 is probably the best thing that has happened to Hornby's finances for some time. Sure, there are some shortcomings, but that is true in all scales. TBH I think in the short time since Hornby launched British Outline TT120, its has come along faster than most.
  25. Hopefully the Peco ones will be available as non-motorised to keep a lower price point ? I have some 3d printed ones I adapted from a file for 00, but the Peco ones may be out before I get round to it, and would probably look better than me trying to paint the arms πŸ˜†
