  1. Yep I am holding onto my pre-order too, they may get a bit of a re-paint to make a representation of LNER green and cream tourist coaches. Of course inaccurate, but it will fill my need for a non Pullman LNER coach set. Rule 1 applies laughing
  2. Nice ... about 16 miles round trip is the furthest I started to do regularly on my CX before lockdown ...I haven't been out since ! Nice that you could get the bike parked up next to her slightly_smiling_face What fate ? .. surely she will be kept around even if its just in a museum ? (although much nicer too see these magnificent machines on a main line getting a workout).
  3. Yes D, I feel my point is as valid as those that disagree, after all none of us has a crystal ball. It was just my thoughts and I may be a cynical old _art, but as has been often said before some points come across more aggressively than intended on forums. Take all my posts as if we are having a friendly chat in the pub, and you won't go far wrong smile
  4. One solo MK1 Blood and Custard from GM (Hornby out of stock of TT4005). Happy with it, the rest of the rake has been ordered from Hornby before my discount expires ! slightly_smiling_face
  5. For a long time I held off as the websites states these are 19cm long. Being concerned about the look on corners I was waiting for the 57ft coaches which are (should be) shorter than the Pullmans. All the delays to the 57 release meant I was getting tempted to go for the Blood and Custard MK1, but TT4005 is no longer in stock at Hornby ! So a few days back I ordered just one TT4005 from GM to see how it would look on my layout, and it arrived today so a short running session and a chance to see how the MK1 looked on the curve, and it looked acceptable to me. I put it alongside the Pullmans (which the website is reasonably accurate with length on) and was surprised to see its only maybe 4-5mm longer, not the 23mm the website suggests ! Now happy about the length, I thought it best to use my discount and existing points before my membership expires, and get 4005A,B and 4006A to make a rake and give a second set of coaches for my BR locos to run when my 1946-7 LNER layout shifts to the early 50's, Night Hawk and Falcon on standby grinning Could really use a nice Tourist or Gresley Teak for LNER alternatives now nerd_face
  6. It wasn't a pointless post Dodge, I expressed a viewpoint and we will see in due course if I am right or not. Speculation yes, but based on my past experiences. I will leave it there, hopefully you all can revisit this thread in April and tell me I was wrong stuck_out_tongue
  7. I would like to be proved wrong, but I feel I won't be unfortunately. Sorry if it upsets you Hobby, but I am entitled to my point of view. I have some 21t wagons on pre-order (according to the website, now due spring 2025!) I ordered them as soon as they became available, since then the price of them has risen close to 40% ! I don't think more price rises can be ruled out, after all production and transport costs have gone up big time and the firm is in business to make money ... To be frank I would say TT120 is the best thing that happened to their finances, lets hope they don't kill their cash cow by milking it too often ! Hopefully April will bring good news, but I suspect there will be more disappointment too, purely because of the sheer volume of products that currently list Spring 24 as a a release date is not feasible. All we can do is hope for the best blush
  8. I actually suspected this. They won't post anything new up for pre order until April when the last of the people with 15% discount membership has expired, So no one can order it cheaper ! I suspect there may also be price rises across the range in April too.
  9. Oh I agree totally with all of the above. Just when I get an email from Hornby every few days .... but a points promotion or something would be nice, its not like they haven't done it before blush
  10. Anyone else fed up with Hornby promoting this but not including a single TT120 item ? Its bad enough I have bought from several online model railway suppliers and so keep getting the emails about all the new releases and sales of wonderful goodies in 00 or N, but Hornby ignoring the TT crowd is a kicker. We could at least get a double points or something ? On a slightly related note, all the TT stuff delayed and now scheduled for a Spring 2024 release ain't gonna happen ... you look at all the preorders on the site that have spring 24, and tell me that we can realistically expect all of that will come in one quarter ? Anyways, just needed to get that of my chest grinning
  11. Yes it is the pockets I am trying to find. If no kinematic specific ones, then screw mounted ones to allow some swing would be beneficial. Are they standard across scales or is TT120 a specific size ?
  12. If you can not get any more straight in, then you could move the lower outermost siding to the right one straight, and then you can fit an in-out and out-in switchover at the lower track mainlines.
  13. I'll take a bottle of Chardonnay any day over that fizzy Prosecco muck (or any fizzy wine come to that). Although lately a bottle of Pinot Grigio seems to be appearing more regularly in the weekly shopping laughing
  14. Already posted the link last page SJ blush
  15. There are TT120 ones, I have some :) Noch 60159 Gauge TT Track Cleaners, five pieces modellbahnshop-lippe.com
  16. As title, where can I buy the NEM (358 ?) pockets preferably with kinematics to upgrade/adapt non NEM or non kinematic NEM rolling stock ?
  17. Not for me, I just checked to see the 57' Blood and Custard coaches have slipped again to Spring 2024. Bah Humbug !
  18. I wondered what the bark was to be used for - rocks! Genius idea and cheap. Infill panels look great and really blends that viaduct section into the rest of the layout.
  19. You tease stuck_out_tongue I have a close to TT scale Spitfire that will eventually find its way, but I havent decided if I am to hang from the ceiling or mount from the board, either way it will probably get in the way ! grinning
  20. Nice, thanks for the heads up and mini review Silver Fox slightly_smiling_face
  21. They look fantastic RM ok_hand
  22. I dont do any social media either, Probs a load of tat anyhow (apologies if you like garish xmas liveried items) grinning.
  23. Indeed, somehow it had been made inactive, but was there in the engine shed :)
