  1. Some great shots in the night there Dave 👍
  2. Just my tuppence worth ... and obviously feel free to ignore if you like ... The top in/out points at the station are a bit redundant maybe ? You have an in/out at the bottom already. unless of course it is designed as a run-around so you can leave a train parked on the curves if not operating a 2 way service. Either way, looks a good layout with plenty of operational possibilities 👍
  3. My DPD "expecting" email arrived, so should get it next week sometime 😎
  4. Fantastic video RM, every time I pop in his thread it gets better. I look forward to seeing that church area growing 😊
  5. Yes, maybe a bit more convoluted at times, and still the odd glitch to fix, but I am getting used to it now !
  6. My pre order of August last year still showing as pending but given the info provided by Dodge and 96RAF, I expect it will be moving along in due course 😆
  7. Nice to see Hornby are implementing improvements, good spot 😁
  8. I mean these forums were a bit non user friendly before, but its a new level now ! Before I selected forums from the hornby main site, then the sub forum I wanted. Now I have to choose between Airfix, Hornby and Scalextric, deselect all the other forums to see what I want, and it does not even recognise that I was already logged in from the Hornby site. I am a member of a few forums over several subjects, this one was already the most clanky i have used, now its even more so. As you can guess, I am not a fan ! 😄
  9. Looks good, but I stretching nearly 5ft to do scenery would make life tricky, an access hatch may be a thing worth planning in ? Unless it is to be in the centre of the room with access from all sides ?
  10. Well that clears that up, Thanks guys blush
  11. Now this is out of my era so is more of a curiosity question than anything else ... but may help those that are interested in them ! I notice the loco pack is £110 more for the DCC fitted version. At first I wondered why, then thought it must be because both locos are powered, and need 2x decoders. If this is the case, why could they not have a drive and dummy loco to keep costs down ? And how are you going to ensure that both ends travel the same speed as motors of the same spec often have tolerances that will mean they don't run the same speed or even variable response at different throttle positions ?
  12. Nice to see the range growing. I would have liked a GR post office van, so my repainted red one will still have to do for now, but the LNER Parcel Scammel and Fire Engine have been ordered :)
  13. I too recently had my first year membership expire. I have several coaches, wagons and a couple of Loco's on Preorder and have accepted I will pay individual shipping as it still works out cheaper than no discount. But I hope to contact CS to get that reduced for those that do ship together. The Hobby rewards is automatically ongoing as long as there is not more than 2 years without usage.* As for the TT120 Club, although its benefits are fairly minimal now, it is free, so why not keep it going ? .You never know, maybe one day there will be some exclusives that were previously mentioned blush This way all options are available, and at no cost to you. *In the current terms and conditions, I quote: "If your Hobby Rewards account is inactive for 24 months, the account will close and any points held against that account will expire. We will notify you prior to that occasion. Your Hobby Rewards account will be considered inactive if there have been no points earned or redeemed within the 24-month period. Upon termination of your account, your Points shall be deleted and Hornby Hobbies will have no obligation to offer you any compensation for any unused Points at the time."
  14. Some Peco points in case I need them yum
  15. Yes Hornby and Tillig work well together. My track is mostly Tillig but with Hornby points. I did round the top edges off at the joins between the two, but TBH not really required. My Father's 00 is a single track like you describe, I built my TT to be similar but with dual tracks, I much prefer mine if that helps smile What's holding me back ? Time ... need to finish a coupe of other projects first, otherwise they will not get done !
  16. I used these: Kato 24-015 - 1 x 10g Pk 13mm Long N/00 Black Track Fixing Pins 2nd Large letter | eBay But TBH could do with being shorter, I think 8-10mm would have been better. But if you go the pin route, I highly recommend one of these: 2mm PIN PUSHER FOR PANEL PINS, PECO SL14 TRACK PINS ETC | eBay. They do 3mm as well, but, ideally max 2mm heads are as much as you want on TT track.
  17. Pinning wont cure the rails, a bit of de-stressing will help even if not pinned. I thought that was a sticky it but appears not.
  18. A heads up, Halling have just released these: I never ordered the vario drives, but when the email with these arrived, it gave me an incentive to order one each of 19.7, 21, and 23mm. A coreless motor and a low height with under 10mm width means, they should fit under most things, might need to do some jiggery pokery with wheels and axles, but hopefully will make an excellent starting point for a chassis for my Lincoln loco bodies when I get around to it ! They are; ANT-ALX-197-H0M (19.7mm wheelbase) ANT-ALX-210-H0M (21mm wheelbase) ANT-ALX-230-H0M (23mm) ANT-ALX-240-H0M (24mm)
  19. BP and Total in stock still, Esso sold out. No use to me as way after my era, but good to see some new stuff landing slightly_smiling_face
  20. Nice addition, are they plastic kits ? 1:144 ? They work really well with High Fell sunglasses
  21. Rock looks great, the layout is coming along nicely thumbsup
  22. Yep I got the email this morning, good news as they usually are 10% discounted, so my orders will coming from them if I need anything else not pre-ordered ! Especially as Hornby seem to be getting slower, I ordered the rest of my B+C Mk1's Friday ... still listed as processing. The one I ordered from GM on slow economy delivery arrived 3 days later yum
  23. Oh I don't know ... 70 for under £18 isn't bad : Pack of 70 Model Trees DIY Train Street Railway Scenery Landscape Accssory 1.18-3.54inch HO Z TT Scale : Amazon.co.uk: Toys & Games I think I bought 3 or 4 packs of around 20-30 trees at £11-16 a pack, still have a few left sunglasses I did buy them them over the course of a couple of months so it didn't seem so bad smiley
  24. As a first time user, I found the WWScenics static applicator (I got the "Pro Grass Micro") very easy to use, I used their 1mm stuff mostly, with a bit of 2mm thrown in here and there. (pic awaiting approval) My trees I bought from amazon, because they were reasonably priced and I CBA to make 'em blush but if you want to make your own, RallyMatt has some tips on his High Fell thread.
