  1. It is neither a clone or copy over. My tablets have completely different processors not least one is 32 bit and the other 64 bit and the device drivers in Android are the specific responsibility of the manufacturer.
  2. Android does transfer the app and data. I transfered from Android 9 to Android 13 and ended with 2 fully working tablets. It depends on from and to versions, you could find the limitations online.
  3. The decoder uses an ARM Cortex MO processor which is what limits what the decoder can do. Apple's OS is irrelevant.
  4. Which one have you ordered? From RAF96's links the only one that might fit is dual shaft and the other 2 are too large. I ask because I have returned WW for what I believe is a motor failure. It was accepted although out of warranty perhaps because it has already been back 2x. I was looking for a motor online but could not find one I was sure would fit so rang Hornby who accepted the return. It would be much easier if a replacement motor was available.
  5. Yes we seem to have quantum transistors that are on the decoder or XOR in the power bank simultaneously🙂
  6. I confused! Is it an open collector output on the decoder?
  7. I purchased £35 worth of electronic components inc. delivery from the US. Fedex delivered. A few weeks later I received an invoice that simple said "Shipping". I ignored it as I hadn't shipped anything with Fedex. A couple of months later I received a letter from debt collectors, when I spoke to them they expained it was for customet duties of £14.50 + their £7 costs if I paid over the phone. Apparently it is common with Fedex.
  8. Android supported BLE from 4.3. Whether the manufacturer implemented it in hardware is a separate matter.
  9. The strios are in 3 Led per segment ( 8 Cob led ). The value of the resistor is not critical, If you used 9 Led they would be dimmer. If you increse the resistor value the Leds would be dimmer if you lower it brighter, within reason. You could experiment to get the brightness you want. I don't know why he uses a 510 ohm as it is not a preferred value so less common and more costly. The nearest preferred values are 470 ohm ( brighter ) and 560 ohm ( dimmer ).
  10. No, do not put the resistor on an input leg. It wants to be on the output. The circuit diagram he shows is not what he builds. He's right he doesn't know much about electronics. He says you'd be OK at 16V. The leds wouldn't last long, they are 12 V strips, you could expect minimum 1.2 V drop across the bridge so the max voltage is 13.2 if you want the leds to last.
  11. You do not pair with the decoder, you only link within the App. Pin or Passkey is only used in Legacy BLE for things like headphones, more secure connections are normally used in BLE. Take the loco off the track for 15 seconds to reset and then try a scan from inside the App.
  12. I have noticed the same. I logged a Report Bug on the Settings screen and received an email request for more info. Perhaps if you did the same it would show it as a general problem. It only started for me after the update for the Legacy Dongle which I have no need of.
  13. I see the same on 3 versions of Android and hardware and Android 10 GO crashes when you try to scroll when it used to run the App. So GWR Greg it may not be your tablet.
  14. I am also being offered TTS profiles. I don't have a legacy dongle which I presume they are for!
  15. Just tried mine. I see what you mean!. I've tried my old Android 9 and it is the same, if it was a lack of resources I would expect that to be crippled. I think it is a problem with the profiles not downloading properly. If you notice on the second row there is no "Hornby" on the red logo background. There used to be no problem before the profile update.
  16. Argos are still offering this at what I think is a very good price. It is Android 13 and mine did an auto OTA system update a few days ago.
  17. Isn't it the speaker that is connected in his photo?
  18. It's how Bluetooth Mesh works, there is no permanent handshake. It uses message flooding.
  19. Isn't it the same part as this on WW A4?
  20. It has been commented on before that it in not in the instructions.
  21. You have to remove the con rod screw on the rear wheel to release the speedo and the body should lift off. It is the same as other A4s
  22. But what if the App has never seen a dongle! There are so many variables and @Britannia Builder says Samsung have made changes it might be worth wating rather than solve a problem that may not exist.
  23. I'd wait till you get the dongle. From the text based tutorial. It then goes on to talk about taking photos etc.
  24. Gallery is I think a Samsung App do you have Google Photos on your phone?
  25. I like the COB led strips, I've ordered some 12 V 3mm wide but they have to come from China. I was undervolting 12 V strips with individual leds from pickups.
