They DCC Fitted locos don’t come with a blanking plate. But yes you can remove the chip if you want. My understanding is that you can still run it fitted in place as an analogue loco just ensure you don’t go above its voltage rating. The problem I have is if your track is set up for DCC then you can’t run a non DCC unit as you have a constant track power. The 6 pins haven’t been released yet so I anm eagerly awaiting the decoders to run my shunter.

I have a water tower but not put together yet, basically to cover up a peco twist loco point motor that I couldn’t fit underneath

Not fixed them in place but they are fit great and look good. 😊 . The signals are Dapol, they come with a switch already attached and a motor, but I have attached them to peco PL-26 passing contact switches to match the points. They are great as they raise slowly and drop quicker to be prototypical. They need raising slightly as the locos brush them when at danger lol.

I ordered some incline pillars from Etsy yesterday 3% gradient hopefully due next week.

So managed to resolve the last two point motor issues, decided to give Mallard the privilege of completing a good friday track test, some tweaking required and a good clean, but here is a glimpse of the run, also tried out @GMD coal loads which look great.

Interesting that if you look at Wagons & Coaches in the shop with in stock items only filter appliesd both the BR & GWR are showing along with LMS ‘57s but when you click on them they still showing are pre-order is this a sign I wonder or are they just tinkering ahead of Tuesday

Been trying out Rail Modeller Express after watching @GMD video modelled the goods sidings and the freight loop, couldn’t get the gradient element to work how I wanted but will keep trying to get it right. On to modelling the main lines and branches
