Still Waiting ......duh

Recommended Posts

As it is (a) freelance, (b) alledgedly based in a Bagnall design, and © BR never purchased any Bagnall machines, it needs to be a number from a block not previously used on any actual locomotive.

Gaps include,

The pre-1957 series 11230 to 11499, 11509 ro 11699, and 11720 to 11999 which were never allocated.

Post 1957 series  D2342 to D2369, D2445 to D2499, D2520 to D2549, D2619 to D2699, D2870 to D2899, D2914 to D2949, and D2959 to D2984 which were never allocated.

Personally I would go for a 11800 upwards /  D2800 upwards number series.This places them between the real North British 225hp 0-4-0DH D2708 to D2780, and real Yorkshire 170hp DH 0-4-0, TOPS Class 02, D2850 to D2869.

It then begs the question what TOPS number might have been allocated. All the numbers between 01 and 17 were already allocated, so I guess class 18 would be the next available number, although they could be 02/1 class, carrying numbers 02 101 upwards. .

So in black livery why not 11803?

Not sure what a VIP card is, but how long have you been waiting?

I think he means the membership card - Red Plastic with Hornby Collectors Club, Your name, membership number and expiry date. I don't think it entitles you to anything - you don't have to sign it.

It used to get you 10% off at certain Hornby stockists, but don't think anyone does that any more.

Sadly no longer.
