Thread notifications - should I be receiving them?

All, since joining this forum I have never received any email notifications to advise me threads that I start/contribute to have been update. Is his normal behaviour

There is no email notification facility on THIS forum. It is totally custom and does not follow ANY forum software industry standards that other forums use.

There is also NO 'Private Messaging' capability on this forum either for the same reason.

You are expected to keep coming back manually to check on post & thread status yourself.

There is a new platform on the way which will have all the bells and whistles. The mods will get a chance to test it before it goes live to ensure all requested features and improvements have been made available.

Please don’t ask when as it will run to the usual Hornby project clock.

It tells you on the clock, between Feb and Oct, with the second hand hovering over the summer. I am sure when we get our hands on it some of the features will be broadcast.
