The son of Triangman
As some of my friends know I am fighting a long term battle with declining health. I have just been diagnosed as diabetic on top of having gallstones the size of planets, and coronary heart disease. I am going to be away for a while. So if I don't pop in before Christmas I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

VESPA
Don't take that news too hard. I worked as a senior theatre nurse and hold a specialist nursing certificate in diabetes. The gallstones can be removed in as little as 8 mins with a good surgeon via keyhole surgery using a net to hold the gall bladder. The diabetes is a very treatable condition and your GP practice nurse will guide you through the do's and don'ts. Monitor your blood sugar levels at least daily and make sure you have blood tests for your HbA1C as defined by your practice nurse. That test will give accurate readings of your blood sugar levels over 28 days. You will also need annual eye checks and foot checks. Don't ignore them and you will be fine. Have a great Christmas and don't worry too much.
