Good beginner air fix kits (Aircraft)

Some of the older 1/72 aircraft kits are cheap and cheerful so it doesn't matter if things don't go as well as hoped. The older kits are also simpler and less confusing to build. Jets usually have fewer fiddly parts and are often easier to paint. I think I would try something like the 'top gun' f5e mig to begin with.

its got to be a kit you want to build, that way its fun and not a chore to get out of the way when building it, for me its mainly wwII planes but right now I've got a jet provost T4 and a lightning F2A sat on the bench, every now and then i will do a car or boat just for something different and to learn new skills.

the older kits are easier to build as they have less parts and not as fiddley and you can pick them up off internet or the airfix vintage range they do.

most of all enjoy what you build

I bought a whole load of Mig 15s and A-4 Skyhawks for cub scouts to build. Most had never built a kit before, with some advice they turned out some good efforts. Parents helped with painting and decals.

Those were cheep and simple kits at the time.
