Ullswater
Looking great PJ. Thanks for sharing those.Where did you get the backscenes?
PJ_model_trains
Hi Ullswater Thanks for your comments, I have a lot to do with the layout yet! Backscenes are from New Modellers Shop, they have a large selection to choose from, excellent scenes, on good quality printed paper. I was very pleased with the service and delivery. http://www.newmodellersshop.co.uk/backscenes.htm
Ullswater
Thank you PJ! I have a couple of the Gaugemaster ones, one more successful than the other - one (GM701) blends in well but the other (GM703) looks too close in the foreground. The "iD" ones look good - have you used those and what do you think? NWR-Gordon-4
Nice layout, WTD. You have a lot of rolling stock! I love the country cottage, on that hill in the corner at the back and the disused coach! Good layout. 😆
walkingthedog
Thanks Jacob. Just over 100 locos about 100 wagons and 9 passenger coaches. Not a lot compared to some. 😆 Got to go out now to a meeting. Good bye. 😀
NWR-Gordon-4
Over 100 locos, and 100 wagons? That's a lot! Enjoy the meeting, what ever that is about!
pete007
Hi Excellent detail around the turntable whole layout looks great. I have made a start on a few more areas on my layout hope to get a bit more done over the Easter break. You can find my videos of my layout on youtube just put Llanwoody Junction in the search and it should come up with them, there is about 10 of my current layout and a few from my previous one. walkingthedog
Thank you Peter. My trouble is I don't know when to stop when it comes to detail. I shall have a look at yours. 😀
NWR-Gordon-4
I will tell you this now, WTD, that to me, no layout ever gets finshed. There is room for improvement somewhere, on every layout! Even on your one, that is extremely detailed, there must be somewhere on it that could and can be improved! 😀
Gitter
Edited out for crazy predictive text. Apologies for the Wed. WTD. in the following post.
Gitter
Hi Wed, looking good. That wouldn't be Adolf Hitler eyeing up locomotive 9044 is it? There was always a theory that the ashes outside the bunker was a con. Now , saying that I think it may be an idea to have Elvis , Einstein, JFK and others on my layout. Jimbo1707820979
@ wtdHappy to see you've resolved your photo uploading problems. Lovely clear photos of a great layout. I take it you favour 'goods' more than 'passenger' as only 9 coaches. Well, that obviously suits you layout themes better. Very good show !! walkingthedog
I had a station until a few weeks ago but got rid of it. Replaced it with another goods yard.
NWR-Gordon-4
So when passengers want to have a rid on the WTD Express, they have to go to a goods yard to get aboard the train, instead of a train station?! 😆 Just a little joke, there, but seriously, you don't have a train station, on your layout, at all? RB51
I don't either. I have two goods yards a coal yard and a maintenance shed. Not sure how that happened but probably to do with the fact that the entire layout is only 6' 6" x 4' so not really a long enough section to draw up a train. walkingthedog
I don't have any passengers, all my passenger coaches are empty stock going to or from the sidings.

I don't have any passnegers either, it but wouldn't it be nice to have statiom, that you run your coaches from and back again? What sort of coaches are they? Postman Prat
WTD had a station, got fed up with it, and got rid of it. I think that indicates that he doesn't think it's a nice idea. Sorry, WTD, if I've read it wrong
NWR-Gordon-4
Was it a big station?
walkingthedog
PP you are perfectly correct. Jacob it was a small station two platforms. Spent most of its time with goods trains parked in it.
