  1. Yes I know that Jacob, I was saying I don't even like Thomas days so I certainly wouldn't want to go on a Thomas holiday.
  2. Not for me I'm afraid. I don't like attending Thomas days at heritage railways. I'm sure you would enjoy it though.
  3. You could say the same for Superman, Robin Hood or Micky Mouse.
  4. Anywhere for real. He was in the imagination of the Reverend Awdry.
  5. I suppose as Thomas didn't really exist it would be difficult to prove they were the wrong size.
  6. Is that right Jacob, I wonder why they use OO wagons. Bit strange as they are mainly for the USA. Bet the Americans aren't very happy about that.
  7. The Bachmann Thomas range is HO so slightly smaller than Hornby.
  8. Jacob it's a joke. We are all little boys playing trains. She Who Must Be Obeyed = SWMBO = wife or partner.
  9. I buy from who ever makes what I want. I'm not loyal to any particular company.
  10. Edward when you said you'd be 89 I thought blimey, then realised I'd be 90 😮
  11. There are some terrific railway guns on the Rails of Sheffield web site and on their eBay site.
  12. I'm afraid you may have to wait a bit longer, maybe the 100th anniversary of the start of WW2.
  13. I've got a couple of their little saddle tanks and they look just right on an OO layout. Your model is really smart.
  14. Welcome Bouncyman. I would guess that the majority of us are between 55 and 80 but our average age is 12 😆
  15. Fantastic isn't it, we went on parts of it in the 80's from the Padstow end.
  16. It doesn't matter if they are a private or business seller, they all have to abide by the ebay rules. You need to take this person to task so their rating drops.
  17. No Jacob if you have been sold a duff product you should not end up out of pocket. If you return something to Hornby they will refund the postage, so should an ebay seller.
  18. Jacob if you are not going to take the advice given why did you tell us about it. Take it up with ebay. If you don't people on here are going to starrt ignoring your posts. The person who sent you the item packed it incorrectly. How are they going to learn from their mistake if you don't do something about it. It will happen again to somebody else. 😮
  19. Unless it is the only one in the world you will get another eventually. Any way it's up to you.
  20. You won't Jacob. Ebay pride themselves in helping buyers get a good deal. If the seller won't give you a complete refund ebay will sort it. Take my word for it. It is the sellers responsibility to ensure the item is well packed. They should refund you in full then if they wish they can try and get a refund from Royal Mail or who ever damaged the parcel.
  21. Jacob I'm pretty sure ebay will get you all your money back. Contact them and tell them what has happened, they are extremely good.
  22. That looks good BB. I particularly like the farm buildings on the right in the fiddle yard scene.
