  1. Blimey I hope the ones on the other side haven't fallen off 😮
  2. Thought I'd do it in 1/16 of an inch. I imagine you're imperial as opposed to metric. The end of the bars are curved. You'll see when the picture arrives.
  3. Length 17/16th inch. Height to top bar 3/16. Number of bars 3. Spacing just under 1/16 equally spaced. One side only. Picture coming.

  5. Don't need to. He won't be going near my layout until he is about 13, by then I'll be 80 and won't give a damn.
  6. I haven't got a little controller to ask, got a 5 month old grandson so got a few years before he takes control.

  8. Rob there's something not right about a tidy train room. It should be untidy like the real railway.
  9. Now if you were addressing me RAF, my answer would be that I wouldn't give a penny for an OO sound loco of any type. I really do think they sound aweful and are just a gimmick. However O gauge, particularly diesel, would be different. I wouldn't buy one but would certainly accept one as a gift. I do have an HO USA steam loco with sound but don't run it because I can't turn it off. The whistle is the only sound that is very good.
  10. Ah maybe so RAF but the address used to be on a link at the top of the forum so now it is hidden.
  11. If you want to suggest products go to Contact Us at the bottom of the page then select Product Suggestion add your details and suggestion. I'm pretty sure that any suggestions are ignored unless you use this form or the Wishlist section. People put suggestions in all sections of this forum, Thomas, Railmaster, General etc. and it would be unfair to expect Hornby to have to read all of them just to find one, especially as this is supposed to be for us not for them. Just my view. Good luck any way 😆
  12. Can you tell me if this is loco or tender driven. I still have quite a few Hall/Saint bits in a box somewhere and am always looking for bits to complete a loco. If loco driven I could look out for a body which would add to the choices I have for a restoration project. I don't think Hornby make tender drive locos any more. This is brand new from the Railroad Range.
  13. Modelmaster. Dead easy with GWR/WR you just stick them over the existing. I use UHU glue then you can remove them if necessary. It surprising how easy it is to make them crooked even after being extra careful. As my locos are BR the number on the front of WR locos goes on the smokebox door but on GWR is painted on the buffer beam. Bit more work involved there I guess. If you're feeling a bit more adventurous you can remove the old nameplate and replace it. Fox are also extremely good.
  14. It was Helmingham Hall when it arrived. It's a Railroad model and is very well detailed and the lining is excellent. Decided to change it to something a little bit more local and Kneller Hall was one of the places my dad loved to visit, went there many times with him, The Royal School of Military Music.

  16. I thought cat litter absorbed fluid then clumped for easy removal. If that is the case how will it be stuck down, not with a PVA/water mix obviously.
  17. Looks like John will have to buy a watering can then LC 😆
