  1. Just 3D printed more replacemnt chassis for my 6 wheeled Sasage Vans. Below is a comparrison for the GWR version (Mine on left). Although mine has nem pockets, I did wimp out on a clemenson chassis and took the easy option of turning off the centre wheel flanges in an electric drill. /media/tinymce_upload/50a65f4049c8dd86665b49c668a05891.JPG
  2. An Oxford Rail open wagon (E Welford - Oxford) for my "Thames Valley" coal train. However, it may have just exceeded the lenth of the longest goods loop so I may have to get some more wagons and split the train into two!
  3. Some 3d prints for alternative GWR American bogies for the Hornby Sophon H and G (am awaiting delivery) and have just received two somewhat battered Main Booking halls from eBay. Not that I am upsetr about the latter as that is exactly as they were shown. I intend to strip off the paper transfers and ue them as a basis for my main station building probably a cut and shut plus overlaying with stome embossed plasicard
  4. Don't think one would fit on my GWR mainline either. I have enough trouble with my Bachmann american 2-8-0 catching the cattle dock platform!
  5. A Lima J50 odd eBay. Nice Runner but the previous owner had painted over the BR number ad insignia with black paint and applied some NER transfers so Ive polished these back to the plastic and resprayed "Chaos black" and filed off the front number plate. All I need to do is find my LNER transfer. if the result looks OK I will then fit it with a chip. DCC chips ready to resume converting my DC locomotives. Having just done a split chassis I think I'll have a bit of a rest and do some standard hornby 0-6-0 chassis two for J52 (LNER Black and GNR green) and possibly for a black J83, a Jinty or even the above mentioned J50.
  6. An X04, two 0-6-0 hornby triang chassis various screws and a few other bits to "restore" or obtain the models I originally wanted when I first started the hobby in the 1970s.
  7. A blue Triang Deisel shunter body. Just need the body fixing bracket and a brass wormed X04 to restore the loco. The motor i had fitted is in good working order but is an MRRC 5 pole replacement which I would like to use elsewhere.
  8. A second hand triang track cleaning wagon and some new pads and a Triang GWR clearsory which someone has painted in the droplights maroon and the raise mouldings black. Once I've replaced the bogies with my own 3d printed dean bogies and fitted it with a 3d printed interior it will look just the part.
  9. A rake of the new Collett 57' coaches, one of each in GWR livery. Nice to have both left and right handed brakes!
  10. Just been looking for the Rivarossi USATC 0-6-0. Found one in an online shop in France . Ordering it was supprisingly easy with the help of my failed French O level and Google Translate!
  11. Mine came too know what you mean about the Chip. As I bought Whitechapple too for SWMBOs valantine present I'll have to wait for the chip. I'm thinking of a six pin with a harness.
  12. Been after one of these for years -would probably got one if I'd been prepared to put a high enough bid!
  13. This could make DCC conversion simpler for some of the ringfield power bogies or tender drives.
  14. Having just received the £20 voucher I've now ordered KESR Sutton
  15. Hornby club membership. Valve gear for an old Margate built 8F, and some 1/4 inch 6BA countersunk bolts - as I couldny get genuine Hornby body screws. I just hope they are the correct length, 3/8 inche are just a little too long.
  16. As my 3D prints had not arrived before Christmas, I've ordered a 3D print of a OO GWR Bullion Van. Just need to see how it prints and remember where I put that spare set of GWR Amrican bogies
  17. The coaches were the same as the two at the bottom of the set illustrated here http://www.vectis.co.uk/AuctionImages/338/366_l.jpg I got them as part of a lot of second hand triang from my grandparents neighbour in about 1976/77.
  18. Hi tersono, you might find this video interesting - itinspired me to by my Princess Arthour of Connaught https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHIEudnoRYU
  19. Just bought a couple of Hornby/Dapol Auto tank Chassis for some 3d printed GWR 517 bodies I've just made. All i need to do is fit handraiols, paint and transfer and they'll be done! Still waiting for my Winston Chrchill pack. Ironically 517's are based on Fair Rosamund, the Blenheim and Woodstock branch locos for many years
  20. I used to have two silver coaches (may be still at my parents). I never ran them much because they looked slightly odd being pulled by a GWR loco! Just watch the observation car if you have any low tunnels. First time round my original layout it got wedged under mine!
  21. A spare hornby GWR tender (for Castle/king and some grange tender bottoms. These were spares which include water scoop mouldings which i will fit to my Hornby Railroad Halls.
  22. just bought two new 14XX chassis (not sure if they are Hornby or Dapol) but I suspect the latteras the wheels are shiny and the motor is small so not the original Airfix. I will hopefully be fitting 3D printed GWR 517 class bodies to them as and when I can afford them.
  23. Two projects i have on the go at the moment is a GWR 517 for the Hornby 0-4-2 auto tank chassis and a GWR Saddle tank for the Standard hornby 0-6-0 chassis. The former is in a post currently awaiting mderation because of the photos. I've also started a third - a body for the electrotren 0-6-0 saddle tank. Possibly the ex-Cloebury Mortimner and Ditton Priors Light railway pannier.
  24. My first is a GWR 517 body for the Hornby 14XX. For some 30 years now I've wanted a model of number 1473 "Fair Rosamund" which was the woodstock branch loco which took my grandmother to school in Oxford. Having failed at scratch building one in my teens, ruined a McGowan Models white metal kit and wrecked the body of a Hornby 14XX, I thoght I would turn my hand towards 3D printing. My first attempt was fractionally too short so keeps popping off the chassis nso having made it a little longer I printed half of it to see if it would fit. The photos below show the results which seem OK so I am now awaiting delivery of the whole body shell. /media/tinymce_upload/1d5912f93ce09322a814d695b0892cfd.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/1cbc7e377df452edc5ced6e9a06e7553.JPG
  25. Just thought I'd add this new topic to see if people want to share modelling projects with others. As many of mine are adaptations of Hornby products I hope the moderator will not mind.
