  1. Cheers Stu, it’s all Greg’s idea… (so you can blame him) 😀
  2. Hello Simon, do the lights switch from red to white in the dummy if you physically lift it up and turn it around 180?
  3. For my mainline, GaugeMaster N gauge, for yard work, chinchilla bathing powder mixed with pigment powder (for oil paint) the bathing powder is finer than Chinchilla sand which is much coarser.
  4. Don’t worry, I won’t be tempted by the Dark Side 😝
  5. @96RAF is there a way I can edit the title?
  6. Seriously, what’s wrong with some people? That egregious wally “Locomotion Motion” has now turned his particular brand of foulness on TT120.
  7. Unless you’re using Peco. When joining points on AnyRail, their parallel spacing comes out at 36mm. I think that’s possibly more prototypical. I'm looking forward to receiving the Mk3 coaches to see what clearance is needed on the curves.
  8. So I guess we have to treat the dummy as another loco within the app until as you say the consisting becomes available?
  9. I don’t think that’ll work because even if the dc power is the same, the polarity isn’t switched like DC is when using HM7000 so I guess you must need two decoders if you switching running lights 🤔
  10. When I do my review on my channel, I’ll focus more on this and whether or not a powerbank fits rather than box ends and cooing over how pretty it is…
  11. Ah the planets are aligned and the Gods are looking down favourably on me. I just got the payment notification and link to change payment source… panic over.. as you were chaps! 🤪
  12. Hey gang, hopefully some testers might be able to answer these questions, (my apologies if they already have elsewhere but I couldn’t find them) So, I know when the Key Model World/Hornby Magazine chaps ran the running samples of the TT120 HST Class 43 at GETS, they did so with 2 decoders consisting on their own normal DCC system to have directional running lights and sound in both cars (although of course drive from only one) but didn’t use the HM7000 Bluetooth app. So question 1. Has the app been updated to allow consisting? Question 2. In DC mode will the running lights change per direction change? (As LEDs only work with the polarity one way) Question 3. If that’s the case and HM7000 basically runs on DC, will HM7000 users only need one decoder for the power car and leave the blanking chip in the dummy so the lights work as per DC (ok so I understand it won’t have sound in that car)
  13. I don’t think anything’s changed Garry, I’m just being an impatient toddler who wants his new toy now 😀
  14. Just got off the phone, they won’t do that anymore without having first sent out the email
  15. Think of this as more of a flag waving post rather than a moan please… I pre-ordered the HST class 43 back in May 2023, of course by now the card I used is out of date. So now whilst people can buy the loco and have it delivered in a few days I’ve gotta wait for a snail mail sometime over the next week so that I can change payment source then go to the back of the queue…. Hope one day they get this sorted with a payment back-up option of using BACs details like you can with PayPal and Amazon as I’m sure pre order waiting times aren’t going to get much shorter anytime soon….. Hurumph..
  16. At the end of the day it’s all about presentation. I reckon I could take 95% of his script and with only a smattering of tiny changes make it sound like TT120 is the best thing since sliced bread (which of course it is) I do wonder if he’s now just too big to even recognise the plethora of cracking stuff being produced by either small start-ups or private scratchbuilders?
  17. @Singer33 i had one loco where I carefully heated and bent them out, another I carefully removed the steps with a scalpel and glued them back into the correct position. Another was so bad and had multiple faults that I sent it back.
  18. As you can see from the photos above, Douglas is doing a cracking job producing these. He’s now looking into making up BR cab numbers to go with each nameplate. It's fantastic to see someone taking the initiative with TT120 & should be applauded. Here’s my attempt to show just how good & simple these are to use.
  19. I’m going. I’m interested to see if the profile of TT120 has risen since this time last year.
  20. For me it’s a frustration with how long it’s taking me… I look at what I’m building/detailing/painting and I know 20 years ago it would have been better & accomplished more quickly, but a few years ago my eyesight seemed to fall off a cliff! It’s not going to stop me as I now have all manner of magnifying help from angle poises and head gear, but it’s certainly slowing me down 🤓
  21. That would be nice, but technically they’ve got till the 21st of March and still be in the “23/24 winter season”
  22. Good point, also it should be considered that £18M in 2012 has got be worth at least £25M in real terms today.
  23. So has anyone been following TMC - The Model Centre FB polls? A couple of thousand got involved with the “what do you model” and predictably 00 came out on top with 57% of the vote. N followed a fair bit behind with 15% but then where was ‘0’? Well at 5% it was behind both 9 & 120 who both clocked up 8%!!!! 1:120 a dead end? I don’t think so.
