  1. Peter. Yes. Check my YouTube videos in the post before yours
  2. I’ve just seen the flattering comments earlier in this thread, thank you. But be assured without the knowledge and back up I’ve received on this forum I wouldn’t have managed to make half the videos I have so far. As for what/how/why Hornby has made its production choices, who knows? Perhaps it’s as simple as looking at the sales figures from 00? 🤷🏻‍♂️
  3. opps sorry. I did video it, but then remembered that Richard at TWW has enough orders doing this sort of thing to last him till the middle of next year!!! So if you want me to do it for you, you can contact me via my Facebook page. I will say, that it involved only the slightest work to the metal internal body. And a slight adjustment of the plastic part’s holding/covering the coupling system. The actual plastic outer body remains unmolested and all the internal electronics remain where they always were. Moderator Edit: personal contact details removed as they are not allowed to be posted on this forum.
  4. Having fun fitting an 8pin HM7000-8TXS, sleeker & power bank into PIKO’s ICE3 (you the one that crossed the channel and arrived in StPancras in October 2010)
  5. I’m personally ok with how Hornby has gone about this, but I do also hope that another catalogue comes out in the future. The boy in me just likes perusing the pages, also you can’t put a ✔️ beside the ones you’ve got on a screen 😀
  6. Not a moan, just a discussion point. I notice we still get lots of comments about what’s wanted or expected next, seemingly without any real understanding of Hornby’s production schedule, so I was thinking… Phases 1,2,3 & 4 What’s everyone’s understanding of these? If it’s to do with how products are presented in the catalogue then I think we’re in for a long wait. Phases 1 & 2 seem to be presented as the items with photos & product numbers available for order/pre-order on the website. These aren’t due to finish until late 2024 (or early ‘25 according to the GBRf type50) Phase 3 then I’d assume are the ones with product codes but no pictures and can’t be pre-ordered. Leaving phase 4 as the products hinted at in the catalogue text? Thoughts?
  7. As a dyslexic I find the digital copy on a small screen very hard work and will feel excluded if the printed version is no longer available. I do hope Hornby have the sense to offer a paid for hard copy version.
  8. All very nice, but I suspect I’m not the only early adopter that has the entire range (in some cases more than one) and has most of what he wants pre-ordered 😒
  9. I agree Rallymatt. I've got a sick feeling the Big exciting announcement will nothing of the sort. My best hope is they’ve done something simple like refinish an A3 as the modern-day restored Flying Scotsman
  10. 😲😲😲😲😲 Ey ey ey ….. calm down la….😝
  11. Not sure if Hattons know something we don’t but they’re selling the Nxt18 decoders for under £50. 🤔
  12. Good to see him alive further on in the interview. Always smiling
  13. 😝 Cheers Roger… I was just having a bit of fun.
  14. Thought I’d try reverse psychology on the MODs 🫢😉
