  1. /media/tinymce_upload/962738960cee720d0f98c459b6a55161.jpg All brush painted. (I have since touched up the wheels).
  2. With correctly thinned paints and a big brush of course.
  3. So flying hours in my hand, what series are the 1/35 tanks meant to be?
  4. You do not buy a kit just for the flying hours, do you? I mean if you are so desperate just forge them. ( please do not fake them, that is a really bad idea)
  5. Just one so far and that is a captured b5n2 "kate" but no doubt there will be more soon.
  6. You seem to be missing the point. You do not sign up specifically to gain free kits, you sign up to gain extra perks and exclucive kits. Besides, if somebody gave you an airfix kit as a gift... It is not a free kit service but then it never has been. People should just be thankful there is a club now. Also, the increase in flying hours is due to the increase in cost of kits due to inflation.
  7. Why are you complaining about the flying hours increase? The whole economy has inflated and so have the price of kits. Besides just be thankful we have a club again. Nothing can be done correctly now, can it?
  8. Let it die until they restart it!
  9. T A M I Y A paints are quite good although hornby would prefer if you didn't mention them.
  10. Having built this kit I can suggest using superglue and a little bit of bicarbe of soda. for the most part it is a fantastic kit!
  11. A fully armed typhoon destroying a panzer devision.
  12. The OP made one post and has not responded to any of the replies here in nearly a month. I'd suggest he feels the better for having posted his 'review' here. Time to move on I think. Agreed.
  13. A good model to start with is a 1/72 starter set of a ww2 fighter, the best for beginners are the spitfire, hurricane, bf109 and fw190.
  14. I have recently purchased a 1/72 mosquito from the type 9 era (1987-90) and was wondering how good the decal quality was from that era so I can proceed accordingly.
  15. To the rear of the nacelles. They are very shallow slots with a NACA type inlet. /media/tinymce_upload/d32b0f4fa247ea1cd19d39bd0b2b6c17.jpg They are tiny! who would write off a kit just because of that!
  16. What cooling vents? I don't see any cooling vents on the real plane. Same price as other twin engined aircraft! They are not required to post rivet counting reviews that don't bring up meaningful points. Have you even built it! The surface detail slightly deeper than on other companies but it is not matchbox level trenches. besides, the bf109 g6 is pretty accuate outline wise, and sure it lacks a bt of detail but it is not unbuildable!
  17. Yesterday I purchased the ancient stug iii and was wondering what colour would be suitable for northan france around the time of the D Day landings because the suggested colour scheme looks a bit desertey to me. Also how hard would it be to convert another of the ame model to at least resemble a Panzerkampfwagen III?
  18. Nice! Who makes the model of the austin 7 RK saloon?
  19. Of course-esp of lesser known early war turrets and of interresting engines, like the diesal junkers. I would suggest that they should have internals and be motorised. The should be about 1/12-1/16 and hopefully be useful for scratchbuilders.
