French WW1 Infantry

Recommended Posts

Test pics, old Airfix figures (1970s) painted many years ago with some conversions+additions, 1990s humbrol acrylics 30ml pots mostly... weapons scratch and Ecsi FFL donations, I prefer to use the whole arms + weapons when doing this sort of thing... packs and some helmets press molded using milliput mould and melted sprue, tank and cannon barrel by Hät...

That looks like a nice bit of work on those figures. I always thought that Airfix's WW1 French infantry was one of their best sets (and one of the best WW1 set of any manufacturer) with 20 poses, excellent sculpting and choice of poses. Not entirely accurate but "close enough". Also with a simple change of colour (blue to khaki) a lot of them can be used as early WW2 soldiers. Just to clarify (forgive my ignorance), why would the officer be court-martialed? Is it because he's not in the lead?
