DPD notification for the 50' full break 👍🏼

I did wonder why I didn't get a in stock notification, its the era5 that is in stock, I have Era 4 and era 3 almost full sets (only ordered one brake third van for each) on pre order 😁

And being pedantic (possibly, or maybe just lacking in knowledge) isn't the 50' a parcel van ?

The era 4 is all blood and custards, but the 50' whateveritis shows as just blood, no idea if that's how its coming or if it's getting a custard stripe 😝

A full brake is basically a parcels coach, I’m thinking that they were generally crimson in early BR and later moving to maroon. Can’t recall if they were always painted two tone. Many in blue era were parcels blue rather than blue/grey

Busy day of deliveries: roco turntable, additional track sections for said turntable, lenz reverse loop module and tillig isolating fishplates (which I will swap out at a future date as i didn't realise they were grey when i added them to my basket!) Screenshot_20240408_170341.thumb.jpg.a6c593faf31bc4948175319b3bd01202.jpgAnd then: alpha sniffer, alpha encoder and alpha switch to build a control panel for my goods yard. Just using a bit of cardboard to test my understanding of the wiring and power requirements before I get to building the real thing.Screenshot_20240408_170405.thumb.jpg.e2cd779f30536cb1ab3801fb6d0b3090.jpg

As well as the lovely Stanier 50’ Full Brake, these two 3D printed beauties arrived. They are by Copper Mine Minatures. Nicely made, van body and chassis are separate so glazing can be added. The fork trucks look huge, but they were in those days, the seat gives it away its correct scale.  They come with 3 alternatives for the fork heights which is a lovely detail. Now to research some suitable paint schemes.

Some cork tiles and more cork in a roll, and some tools.

Sadly the pliers are less 10mm even without checking them with calipers. But I needed some new ones anyway.

Are you sure the middle set are not wider across the back of the jaws?

Haha except you are supposed to have pressure on the thumb pad so the jaws are tight against the work piece 😁

Well ... I can live with the 10.39 reading that gives too 🤪

A bumper crop of goodies has arrived today. Got the 10.4mm pin gauge. Seven buildings and the 50' full brake. I love the buildings, they're fantastic for the size, the church especially with the four crosses on the roof, just how delicate are those, I daren't even put it back in the bag for fear of breaking them. I also love the addition of corridor ends in the full brake. It baffles me how people can knock TT:120 with the quality of things like these.

Today I have received the 50’ Passenger Brake, two double straights and some new couplings to replace the Peco ones. The 50’ brake is currently travelling around my radius 2 track with a small amount of drag but is moving surprisingly well as part of a train.
