JJ73
Copy & paste your video address in to your browser (Let's use Aldebaran Video for example) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58BTgobBC8sAfter you have put the above address into your browser address bar - then again, when you see you video on the screen - highlight the address in the address bar, then copy it (right click on the mouse button & a menu should appear & select copy)Then paste it into your Hornby Forum thread!!! gilbo2
Ummm, didn't work for me? I have to save it as a temporary bookmark then drag that into the reply window.
96RAF
Your dead link reposted using JJβs method seems to work as advertised. The other method with those videos is to share, copy the link and paste that in here. Edit - in light of subsequent posts, I am using iPad with Safari browser, which may be critical to the method.
Brew Man
No, couldn't get either of those methods to work.
5Dublo2
Those methods don't work for me either - and I tried two different browsers (in two different operating systems)
gilbo2
.... I am using iPad with Safari browser, which may be critical to the method.Β Β I use Chrome / Brave on Windows 10. Pasting a link direct doesn't work for me, but not tried iOS.
ntpntpntp
Doesn't work for me with Windows 10 & Chrome. The suggested method I saw elsewhere on here works every time: open the link in a separate browser window (not a tab), and drag the link from there into the text editor. ellocoloco
I always bookmark and edit the title (if required) of the webpage I want to share such as my Spanish repaints or DMU conversion then copy and paste from bookmarks.(Chrome on Windows 8)
gilbo2
The late Chrissaf covered links in his thread TIPs on using the forum (section 3), which aligns with the recent comments above regarding Windows. If he was with us today, he would have updated it to cover iOS as the initial posts here.
TVR1707822112
Always just copy the link and it seems to work OK, on Firefox, Windows 11.Best Wishes
