Roger B, strange though it limited me to 2 again with a warning over a new member. So I got the first two pictures up and the second pair of replies and got the message again I will see what happens next :)I model Arboretum Valley, and it is a number of interconnected railway stations and associated dioramas.Goathland using Hornby Skaledale is the basis of the station that represents the Real station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.I'll dump Goathlnad picture in this one post rather than disturbing other people trying to discuss their layouts. Leave a gap then do other areas, so I do not flood the thread.9217/media/tinymce_upload/9151742e800ec75763eec20dd2b1cd83.jpgTen Commandments crates help with the era9306/media/tinymce_upload/054ba36f29d3f6c48012f1f76179a0c7.jpg7660/media/tinymce_upload/abeca63288d169e02618db17c81c0f0a.jpg7526/media/tinymce_upload/6ab0041d9d07f25830a31df7dd7895ec.jpg7345/media/tinymce_upload/8de514a15be2e4847ba7f4693c058d5d.jpgfoam cut cobbles, real coal in the wagon7202/media/tinymce_upload/69027fc8549cb8b57b1a16931ee56a5c.jpgscratchbuilt cattle grid, i can put up a how to if anyone wants it3965/media/tinymce_upload/aaed073b47d15e9febec3a1949c28685.jpg0421/media/tinymce_upload/0d52930e493025e77e95c1264eb138bb.jpg0572/media/tinymce_upload/a5b5b439936013340b2e94d5599ae3a6.jpg0571/media/tinymce_upload/05ce4484b15bbf4dbce35646d7057774.jpgthe weir paint onto mdf and varnish0569/media/tinymce_upload/87bb3b89d5d68a6e240cae81b6023ddd.jpg0152/media/tinymce_upload/067368f5d2d59da065e7e86498f3cfc4.jpgJaz

RogerB, yes of course I read the texted that EdMarra posted, above the image. I'm not daft I was joking when I asked if I have gone colour blind.

Just checking Jacob - it's not easy to tell when someone is joking or when they have genuinely missed something. R-

Triumph 1800 Roadster one of my favourites, though never managed to have one. The dickie seat very useful for nagging mothers-in-law. True to your avatar !  Well done. 😀

Sadly not what I have. Mine is the Mk2 2000 Vitesse, which is also on the layout somewhere.

Popped into the very reasonably priced Wicor models yesterday, and bought myself a Lotus Cortina. Begining to realise that 1960s Havant seems to be populated exclusively by cars I like. :-)

Buz LOL yes I really need to pop up some Harry Potter Pictures I did devise my own dementors BUT someone ese had a much cleverer idea which i have not seen for years so could steal LOL They had used to scale skeletons and added tissue painted black VERY EFFECTIVE. I think if you lowered the hood enough even a normal figure could be used....I should have a go won't take me ten minutes to trow it together, but for those who love Harry.OH and by the way I am indeed limited to 2 posts each day, i wonder when it stops?0193 Knightbus/media/tinymce_upload/68afe0af72e31697109a4881c41489f4.jpg0207/media/tinymce_upload/05349ee581161b362fdd4b9042a84580.jpg0371/media/tinymce_upload/4f92e4a86880207ac3c3f262c253e894.jpg0953/media/tinymce_upload/f031b5917a4a3330338f25a196ab31e7.jpg1891 actors and stunt doubles/media/tinymce_upload/c19ec1770908305743f87122da9dbe10.jpg5544 Dementor, check the roof tops/media/tinymce_upload/1aaa4648d670d35810d2846fbc02a6df.jpg8946/media/tinymce_upload/682cd4b300748e865982cc7fac5b1e53.jpg0356/media/tinymce_upload/7f856ecf1c4228ca1e59164b6881064a.jpg5218/media/tinymce_upload/565ff9b0fb38833a09373a8f709792c7.jpg

Hi SarahagainI hd noticed the lag between posting and showing, but i was getting a red message warning me, although it has now gone, Rob said the first 24 hours but it lasted longer, but i suspect you might be right although not a weekend the moderators are sorting out xmas before their other halves shoot them! LOL. They do not get sorted in order though which can look weird :)GNR-Gordon-4 I am a serious photographer, so be it locos real or model, figures, weathering etc if someone has an interest i am likey to have something to discuss, before long you might be groaning when i post LOL.

Hi All

No accounting for muggles they don't see nothing 😆

The Knight bus is emergency transport for stranded witches and wizards watch Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azgaban (spelling) 😆.

If memory is correct it was made by Corgi and is 1/76 scale and you would need a spare arm and leg now to buy one now, I don't I have one.

regards John

After months of having very little spare time, along with a bit of procrastination, I have finally started to improve the engine shed area of my layout.  Previously it just had a very small manual coaling stage which wouldn't have been up to the job of supplying tenderloads to the fleet of locos I have acquired over the years.  I recently built the Superquick coaling stage.  It's an impresssive model but for once I was disappointed by the lack of diagrams and poor instructions.  Given that it is a more complex shape and totally different to the houses and shops that I have made before, I think it needed more information on how to build it.  I haven't quite got it right, but it'll do.  I need to add railings and some detailing around the base.

I've added a few more shots too.

Not a very good photo but it shows my layout as it is now. Haven't done any work on it for 18 months but getting back into it now. Excuse the mess. Will be cleaning it up in the next few days and will post a better photo. Pretty warm in the house (currently 35 celcius outside) but layout is downstairs which is a lot cooler. I am located in Newcastle NSW Australia./media/tinymce_upload/67c336099932b0a08ce9ef80b1d16956.jpg

Another picture with illuminated platform canopies back in place. The 3rd rail is Peco Code 60 (Z gauge) fitted to Peco 3rd rail chairs. The fiddle bit is threading the chairs onto the rail, but if you file the end of the rail to a bit of a point, they slip on quite easily. They have then been painted with a rusty/brown paint. If you are familiar with the 3rd rail, you will have noticed that the top of the rail is not shiny like the top of the running rails.
