    I think it is part of the Caprotti valve gear. Is it on the front drive wheel. If so isn't there an identical part on the other side.

    Got an 08. Can't get anything much bigger, not enough room and 2nd rad curves. Do fancy a CL20 though.

    It's not that pins are any better than glue or that glue is any better than screws, what ever is your choice is fine, just makes me laugh when people try to say that one or the other causes bad running etc. If what ever method is used properly all will be well. 😆

    Definitely kept me occupied parti the fency Rob. Very pleased with my decision to change. Have 9 locos plus another arriving tomorrow and another on pre order and 11 wagons plus 4 on pre order.

    Each to his/her own 71000. Can't understand the problem with pins at all. I challenge you to find them on my layout. 😀

    Pins are not a problem at all unless you have soft underlay under the track. That can cause more problems than anything. I have used pins for 60 years.
