  1. He did, thing is there may well be one on the other side so the OP can compare them.
  2. I think it is part of the Caprotti valve gear. Is it on the front drive wheel. If so isn't there an identical part on the other side.
  3. That is exactly what I mean Rob. It is the detail that is missing. The loco looks like a blob of blancmange.
  4. Steam Punk generally has a lot of fine detail whether it is clothes or equipment, this doesn't have it,
  5. Perhaps they will be popular but why on earth did they label them Bassett-Lowke?
  6. I'm far from artistic, definitely more engineer, I just look upon railway modelling as mini engineering 😀
  7. Thank you Buz and thank you Rob. I reckon you are being very modest Rob, I'm sure your new layout will be brilluant.
  8. Have to sell the car to get one of those PP. 😆
  9. Have you run in the locos, 30 minutes in each direction at a moderate speed.
  10. Got an 08. Can't get anything much bigger, not enough room and 2nd rad curves. Do fancy a CL20 though.
  11. It's not that pins are any better than glue or that glue is any better than screws, what ever is your choice is fine, just makes me laugh when people try to say that one or the other causes bad running etc. If what ever method is used properly all will be well. 😆
  12. Much easier to handle but a bit destructive for the wallet.
  13. The locos. Waiting for number plate for black pannier tank and name plates for Peckett. /media/tinymce_upload/808c05045c3f3880cd1ac382138124b7.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/d398d81d5e27bfd2261e17dd557d874b.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/c220a05aafeedf90dd007d189eaddd7b.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/0872901c37b01b15fe4d7d14249939f3.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/8f74aa8efe7714d2df9bd6ebf44825f1.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/c829595541e1ba70787a87bf00b6e1e7.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/34e8717048c500617429182b4235388a.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/33ecd1387cbd0927af0b215a5a40c385.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/df31ec519a98ddb07b121f7e18fb9cc9.JPG
  14. Definitely kept me occupied parti the fency Rob. Very pleased with my decision to change. Have 9 locos plus another arriving tomorrow and another on pre order and 11 wagons plus 4 on pre order.
  15. A few pictures of my new 0 gauge layout. /media/tinymce_upload/77371cd71222ca2c19562b0126faf4b1.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/73e8f1b0e4c1ecbffd2ee3cf3ab982cc.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/6d58c32b19fd93792273e97f0c6a692a.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/b244c2d7f5910693b61a420aea4a5c6d.JPG
  16. R8851 is about a scale 30 feet high which is pretty small compared to some I've seen. Even my small water tower is a scale 26 feet tall. /media/tinymce_upload/6c12c4fdc8cd3fa7d281193142bba8d4.jpg
  17. Each to his/her own 71000. Can't understand the problem with pins at all. I challenge you to find them on my layout. 😀
  18. Pins are not a problem at all unless you have soft underlay under the track. That can cause more problems than anything. I have used pins for 60 years.
  19. I agree with you Ken, it is only your posts that keep me coming back to the forum looking for your updates. Keep them coming.
  20. Surely by announcing to us all how you are donating "another £50" you are riding the waves. It is unnecessary to say how much we donate to a good cause.
