  1. Yes they've been planting explosives under buildings and people for many years. 😆
  2. They use miners in WW1 to dig under the enemy to plant explosives. Trouble is the enemy did the same. Sometimes they could hear each other passing by. Officially a sapper is a soldier who lays, detects or disarms mines but became the common name for a Royal Engineer. Going back to mines dropped from aircraft, they were usually attached to a parachute otherwise they were likely to detonate when hitting the ground, then it would be a bomb.
  3. It's an object on the ground or in the water that detonates on contact e.g. Stepped on, hit with something, unlike a bomb that detonates above the ground on when hitting the ground or with a timer.
  4. WTD is a lot shorter to type. As is PP BB Fishy SoT and so on.
  5. That's me. Jacob you'll probably end up as JW. 😀 By the way the loco was £75.
  6. If you get enough of it you won't care about cleaning the track 😉
  7. Yes it looks like the old version. /media/tinymce_upload/2a9cbd4a3993760c21b200c885de512c.jpg
  8. I only clean mine once in a blue moon. Occasionally if a loco falters at a certain spot I give that spot a quick clean, that's all. I think the most important thing is clean wheels and no plastic wheels. About once a year I run the Sharge round and then the Dapol vacuum.
  9. I have a Sharge track cleaner. Does what it says on the tin, if it was in a tin.
  10. When it comes to the crunch track cleaning is easy. A bottle of IPA and some lint free clothe. After all it's just two thin strips of metal you need to keep shiny. Don't forget the wheels especially the backs of them. Done. 😆
  11. That was my first train set. The coaches may have taken on the shape of a banana. 😮
  12. I see you're going for multi posts now Jacob. Must be catching 😆
  13. So what's your average age RLC? 😆
  14. I think my average age is about 11.
  15. My latest is some Ratio fence, 3 yard cranes (not 3 yards long but 3 cranes for a goods yard), 2 fork lift trucks and some sacks, barrels and pallets.
  16. Excel? What ever happened to arithmetic?
  17. I guess 34 could be your average age WW.
