I have four sets at the moment, shortly to be five. Three are on the main lines and one in the sidings. The new one is going in a siding. Never had a problem with them except early on one was troublesome so I changed it for a pco one.
I can't read this thread any more, since Vespa did the mega link the thread is minute and only on the very left of the screen. If I want to add something I have to go to the page before Vespa's entry.
The Modelmaster renumbering/naming kit has the numbers on a green or clear background. The green version covers the old number so you don't need to remove it.
I really fancy a rebuilt Scot but whenever I think about it they seem to be out of stock everywhere or only available DCC with sound. One day I'll get my timing right.
Having said on another thread that I don't have any Hornby plank wagons, I do now. Somebody bought me the British Insulated & Cables Ltd wagon as a belated birthday present. A change of couplings and a bit of weathering it looks pretty good.
Just mix a pin head size blob of each Graskie.
Get a little tub of Tacky Wax. Brilliant stuff. Great for sticking loco crews in the cab, steps etc. things can be removed if required and the wax cleaned off.
I agree it is usually a loco problem. Good point about a tight bogie. As it seems OK in one direction it would appear it is sticking more one way than the other.
Always worth checking the track before taking a hammer to the loco.
