  1. No gnr it has no motor .it needs plenty of room to swing round too . I ran mine on rad 3 it bumped a few things on the way .
  2. Yes it is possible. There is an electrical connection on the left brush holder and the chassis this needs isolating .

  5. Hi maverick Check the motion linkages are not locked up in some way .this will stall the motor and make the humming sound you are hearing .
  6. Class 4F more of a (F)reight loco .but could well have pulled coaches .
  7. My understanding is the sounds are already addressed using addresses 81-88 .so selecting this address on your select should activate the sound channel

  9. Does the select loco I'd flash without the loco on the track ?
  10. Not with this particular loco,but very occasionally others , a fault on DC will amplify on DCC. I would send it back and ask for another .
  11. Until you can reset the decoder to see if this clears the fault all you can do is replace the decoder .
  12. Then don't bother with the mirror .use artistic liberty .post an image when complete .
  13. It could be where the blade contacts the rail.ensure this is spot less

The problem could lie with where the loco connects to the tender .there could be two brass leaves that connect to the tender post if these are not correct then a short can occur .have you replaced the 4 fishplates where the tender stops ? Can you connect your controller to the track where the tender stops.?
  15. If your wheel dimensions known as the back to back are incorrect then this can cause a short at the points.
  16. I would suggest you have a short circuit at some point causing the select to reboot itself . You may have to do a little trial and error as to where or what is causing it. First off could a loco be shorting on the front bogie from time to time ?.

  19. Hi Can you verify you have a DC voltage on the track ? And it varies when you turn the controller up and down .I would suggest leaving the loco's off the track until DC is verified . Then check the loco's for mechanical lock up .check the loco's with a battery if poss.
  20. It would appear to be the loco at fault .your select won't reset the decoder .can you swap the decoder with a new one .

  22. It is the extra function wire .it works with the blue wire (common) switched by F4 on your controller .best to insulate off if you do not need it .
