  2. Most likely the motor .DCC is probably over volting the windings look at fitting a dropper diode .
  3. The wiring does appear correct .so what rating are the bulbs .the decoder can only handle 100 ma

  8. Hornsby point enable isolation of the siding and you should not need irj's.
  9. It would be worth considering .If your elite went doo dah then your select will still give you a usable controller
  10. Try resetting the decoder .8 to CV 8 .if to no avail send the decoder back to your supplier.

  16. From what you are describing you could well be overloading your select.a CDU gives the point the oomph to change whilst charging itself at a steady rate .so could improve matters .
  17. thank you for your help. what would I cut the track with. What glue would you suggest I use? Personnaly I would use a purpose trackcutter like a xuron ,some use a dremel , I would suggest pinning the track with again purpose trackpins, With the xuron ensure you get the ones which cut vertically .
  18. Swapping the decoder would be my next step
  19. Where the track has lifted is there a track joint .if so split the track and cut a couple of millimetres of and refit the track joiners leave a small gap between the track ends .this can give you the clackety clack of rolling stock passing the joint .
  20. Give the pickups a good clean cannot help with the ELITE much other than try the different programming modes you can with the ELITE.Try to reset the decoder 8 to CV 8
  21. Give the pick ups and the wheel back faces a good clean .
  22. Could be the decoder shutting down because it is overloaded give the motor a service if this no good change the decoder to a larger current capacity .
