Being that most of the retailers buy the stock from Hornby Hobbies, I believe their right is to sell the models for as much or as little, as they want to. It is not difficult to find out how much people are willing to pay for these Hornby Centenary Year Tri-ang Railways Stephenson's Rocket Train Packs, so why should not a retailer, such as Jadlam Toys & Models, join in and sell them for this high amount of profit?
When the 2015 and 2016 made Hornby Thomas & Friends models (The most recent products, before Hornby discontinued the range in December 2018), when the each of the models became hard to get hold of, as the stock was quickly drying up, Jadlam Toys & Models also listed the models for a lot more than their RRP. This is not the first time this model shop company has done this.

You have no choice to wait, unless you decide to cancel the pre-order. Nothing can be done to get the product any faster. I believe it was the tooling that caused the majority of the delay, for the Oxford Rail product that I was waiting for.

Yes, of course I did. I was not going to pre-order something for over 2 years and cancel the order, think I was neevr going to receive it. The onlt way I would have not recived the model, was if the manufacturer had cancelled the model, which did not happen and I am glad that did not happen. Thankfully, model railway products do not cancelled very often and models I do know that were cancelled, are products that I did not want, so it didn't matter to me.

Sorry about the late reply. 😀
Those three packs of masking tape, will last you until the end of May 2020? You must use a lot of the stuff then! 😆 😉 😀
I was genuinely expecting you to reply back, telling me that you will sue those three packs of masking tape up, before the end of the year, at the end of the year or even next year. Little did I know! 😆 😉 😀

Many models get delayed and are released a long time after their estimated arrival date. I have waited over 2 years before for one model and I pre-ordered soon it, soon after it's announcement.

I am very disappointed to read about the quality of these Stephenson's Rockets. I thought Hornby had restored the quality from the issues they had a few years ago. They appear to be back. It's less than 2 months ago since the 2020 announcements were released and it sounds like these Stephenson's Rockets have been rushly made.
Is anyone able to post images of their problems with their Stephenson's Rocket, please? I am interested in viewing what they all appear to be suffering with.

Goodness me, 81F. That's a lot of coaches and / or wagons, that need the plastic wheels removed and replaced with metal wheels. £120.00 worth of metal wheel packs will buy you a few packs of 10, so I can just imagine how many models need wheel replacements, which is a lot!
£120.00 is a lot of money to spend on wheels. If I were you, I would buy a pack or two, every few months. Eventually you will get all of the wheels changed. The metal wheel packs are not like the models, that sell out fast. Somewhere always has the wheel pack you want in stock. I have never had trouble sourcing the metal wheel packs, when I want one or more.

I have no interest in buying some early Tri-ang wagons, but I think I still have some wagons and / or coaches with plastic wheels, that awaiting for metal wheels. Not many are awating that, as most of my collection has metal wheels. Either they are models bought with metal wheels, or were bought with plastic wheels and I have changed them.

Thank you for your information everyone. I do look about at exhibitions, but can never find any, or at the right price. I haven't been to a toy and / train fair fro many years, but I think I should get to one soon.
Are swaps allowed?

Don't worry about it, Jimyjames. 😀
I like the plastic wheels for scrap, as I can cut the axle in half. Plastic wheels are no good for running on track, but are useful scrap loads or similar.
It looks if Going Spare is correct, in that Hornby have not released a pack of plastic rolling stock wheels before, unless somebody else comes along and proves otherwise.

Jimyjames, by the information you provided there, it sounds as it they were metal wheels. Only the Hornby RailRoad range rolling stock has plastic wheels and the odd wagon and / coach in the odd train set.
By the way, your hyperlink took me to an error page.

Oh, that's a shame. That's probably why I can't any information about this, on the Internet.
Thank you for your reply, Going Spare. 😀

I understand. Well enjoy the tape and your building! 😉 😀
Out of interest, how long will those three packs of maskiing tape last? Untill the end of the year, before the end of this year (2020), or until next year (2021)?

I'm looking to get as mnay plastic rolling stock wheels as I can, to have as much scrap as possible.Like the packs of 10 metal wheel packs Hornby sell currently, prior to the 1990's when Hornby was trading as Hornby Railways, most rolling stock wheels were made of plastic. I was wondering if they ever released any wheel packs of around more, less or 10?

Three kits the same, Ratch? Why not. Three soldiers and three horses are not enough, so buying three kits provides you with a larger army! 😆 😉 😀

@Ratch
Oh yes, it does look like maskng tape now you have mentioned it.

Chris (Chrissaf) metioned that they have been removed, so all I think as to why the were added, was by mistake. Whatever the reason they are gone and the real reason will probably be unknown.
Brian (walkingthedog), I have just noticed that when I reloaded this page, that you had updated your post. Here is my update:
Yes, the reomval of those products, could also be a mistake.

So what new exclusive models are therefor the Hornby Collector Club members to buy then? I had an email sent to me the other day and the Janus, wagon triple pack and those tools were all included in the email. Very odd, if all that are errors.

X20 Hornby Railways plastic rolling stock 3 hole wheels, to add to my scrap wagon's loads collection.
Another X13 Hornby Railways plastic rolling stock wheels; Listing appears to be including X2 spoked wheels and X11 3 hole wheels. It does not matter how many of which wheel type are included, as again they are for my scrap load collection. You can never have enough scrap! 😆 😉 😀
