  1. Blimey, those sold out quick. It just shows that there's a lot of people who recieve the Hornby emails then. Perhaps Hornby should have issued 1,000 of these Class 66's, in GB Railfreight & Porterbrook livery. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  2. david_hughes2, looks like you have there, a nasty combination of a shark and a plane! 😆 😉 😀 Great photos. 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)

  4. My pre-ordered Hornby 2020 Wagon arrived yesterday (Monday 27/04/2020), surprisingly in a Hornby RailRoad box! I was expecting it in to be in a standard Hornby range box, but the LWB Box Van tooling has been part of the Hornby RailRoad range for many years now, so this is probably why. This is the first time a year wagon has been part of the Hornby RailRoad range. Will this be the case every year, from this year on? Also, before I opened the box, I was worried it would have plastic wheels, as I have neevr come across an Hornby RailRoad wagon that has metal wheels; This oned oes, however! GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  5. Hornby Railways R.032 'Shell' Petrol Tank Wagon (TTA). GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  6. EdMarra, out of interest, what is the product number / code, for the Tri-ang Hornby Fying Scotsman Train Set that you have recently acquired? Are you able to post an images of it please? Thank you in advanced. 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  7. JimmyV, welcome to the Hornby Forum. 😀 Toby, Duck, Bill, Ben and Devious Diesel were all discontinued in 2011. If these models were still in production and could be purchased new, I would not spend any more than £40.00 each on them. I already have them and have had them before they were discontinued. If I wanted buy them now, I don't think I would pay more than £70.00 for these characters, but even then that would be at a push to get them. The models themselves are not worth more than £50.00. People are only paying for these becuase they are Thomas models and haven't been in production for nine years. Something that is worth pointing out, is that these five models you have listed, will only get more rarer and will cost even more in the future. If if you do want them, I would start acting now. They will rise in value the older they become. There are other Hornby Thomas & Friends models that sell for even more than these five and are even rarer to find. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  8. I am not sure on that one. I think you will have to contact Hornby Hobbies with this question. You could always purchase another R7238 Hogsmeade Platform Pack again and sell the two ramps, if you don't want anymore. If you purchase all of the Hogsmeade Station buildings that contains a platorm section and the R7238 Platform Pack, it appears you will get decent length train station. I am not a Harry Potter fan, so I don't know if the Hornby Hogsmeade Station is a realistic length or not. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  9. Good work. Ratch. You have few days work / entertainment there. That is sure to keep you indoors and to stop the temptation of going out, even on these lovely sunny days we are having currently! 🤔 😆 😉 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  10. @Ratch Thank you for that post. I am terrible sorry that I got myself confused last night. 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  11. Sorry, but I think I am a little confused now. Is '0640104', an Airfix product number / code, for the Ford C-900 tractor unit and trailer in Ferrari livery, that you own? What model is the code '1403' for? Google search was not very helpful, unless I was searching with the code with wrong manufacturer. GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  12. X1 Hornby Railways R.111 'National Benzole' Tank Wagon. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  13. I worked out that Hornby have called them sliding doors on the new Mk3 CrossCountry livery coaches, as Sarahagain said above this post, the coaches in real life have been fitted with sliding doors. Hornby have used those two words, to recognise that these models have had the molded body piece altered, so they appear to be how you will find them today in real life. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  14. I have never heard of Edai before. Have you got the priduct number / code, for that kit please? Thank you in advanced. 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  15. @Ratch Cool. 😎 😉 😀 I like the Ferrari livery tractor unit and trailer, very much. That's not a plastic kit, is it? It looks lmore like a model or a toy, to myself. GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  16. Opening doors on models is a gimmick, to be honest. This is not a needed this feature. It adds to the cost of the model and it is not a necessity feature, but a nice one. Sprung buffers are very similar, also. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  17. Nice purchases there, james_mower. Thank you for sharing them with all of us. 😉 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  18. Yes, I agree. Fantastic images everyone. 😉 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  19. I run my trains like Chris (Chrissaf) does, running them on the left; Just like you do on the roads in the UK, keeping to the left. I also have a dual circuit layout. I very rarely run anything in the opposite direction on either circuit, so the trains are keeping to the right. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
  20. Ratch and Patrick Camilleri, thank you both for posting your image each. 😉 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  21. @james_mower OK, I was interested, as you mentioned it here, so I was wondering if it had something to do with modelling. Thank you for confirming. 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  22. @james_mower Have you got a OO gauge model railway, or have you got one in working progress, interest? Your images are very nice and I recommend you head over to the Hornby Forum, to post these images as well. I believe a lot of members will enjoy viewing these. 😀 GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  23. james_mower, am I correct in assuming that the bottle of Dettol, has nothing to do with your kit modelling? GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
  24. Oh, I am sorry. I did not realise you live outside of the United Kingdom. The higer postage cost, will be to pay for postage and for customs charges. These things are annoying, yes. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
