  1. Got notification my pre-order is being dispatched from Hornby
  2. So someone in this post said they had a dispatch notification from Rails, so it’s on the way to them. Someone else said they had talked to customer services today who said pre-orders were going out over the next couple of days. Equally, if Hornby were waiting for a firmware fix, why would they show it as ‘in stock’? I am assuming it will appear in the next few days. If not its Model Rail Scotland so I’ll ask.
  3. With the release of the Dongle, the app has been updated and there appears to be a new Class 20 TXS profile and a whole set of TTS profiles. I'm presuming that the sound profiles for the TTS chips have been modified to load to the TXS chip and are available because it fills some gaps?

  5. One of the the things they majored on was better accuracy of dates. Winter 2023-24 means Dec 23 - Feb 24 which is the date still showing. In summary it should be with us by the end of Feb.
  6. Hornby will do a 2024 launch in the first or second week of January - be surprised if a whole set of new sound files aren’t announced although the 25 may not be one of them as it’s not a current model. I would suggest dmu/railcar (153) and Class 20 will be in there.
  7. I’ve just measured and the hole diameters are around 1.2mm.
  8. I’m making a ‘Frankenstein’s’ 153 out of parts. The chassis runs and the only thing I don’t have is the two screws the hold the PCB to the chassis. I don’t suppose anyone knows the spec of those or where I can buy them? Thanks James
  9. There is a class 47 sound profile out plus a Coronation class 66 plus V2.0 of a few profiles including Deltic - not sure what V2.0 does?
  10. My Accurascale 37402 arrived without headlights and white markers working so has gone back for repair. I can’t believe both ends are faulty so suspect it’s a decoder mapping issue (it came with a sound decoder)
  11. Four decoders fitted including a 21 pin to a Bachman loco. I had one issue but that was down to early days and my lack of knowledge. Now I would have sorted it with the many help guides - really impressed with performance - haven’t even scratched the surface of the capabilities of the decoder. It is a game changer.
  12. Thanks - I’ve looked at those with no luck. I called Hornby but they said if it doesn’t have a part number they cannot help. It’s a small part which is part of the 153 body and annoyingly can fall out.
  13. I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a 153 which is missing the light bar at the non powered end of a 153 dmu. This little black bar takes the light output from the light leds and turns it into the appropriate colour through a series of coloured plastic bars and then then outputs that light for the correct light on the body. I tried my 153 and noticed it was missing- must have been when I last serviced it - hunted high and low for it but with no luck. Thanks James
  14. Just loaded the Deltic profile onto my two Railroad Deltics using the updated app. Updates worked perfectly and the new Deltic sound profile is excellent.
  15. I had three and I sent one back which Hornby replaced immediately. I think if it had happened now, I would have followed some of the forum advice to reset decoders etc, before sending it back. The three working decoders are excellent.
  16. Sent one of my three back - should be noted with what I know now from this forum, I would probably have tried some other things. Allowing for Easter, a replacement came back really quickly and all three are working well. My experiences of Hornby Support are positive.
  17. Fitted two without trouble. Ordered a third and it ran on default profile but didn’t like Cl31 download. It wouldn’t respond even with a cv8 reset and despite talking to the app and allowing me to upload profiles to the end, it kept saying no profile present. Sent to Hornby and they sent replacement very quickly. Had a couple of problems requiring a cv8 reset but on downloading cv set, it sprang into life and is working perfectly. I’m using a Select and P9300 supply and yes CV8 works from the select.
