  1. The DuTTch are meant to be the tallest nation on earth are they not?
  2. @StuLarge It's not a proper double posting. It's a trance that you are falling into... you are powerless to resist the pre-order button!
  3. Ahead of the upcoming Class 50 releases, I have uploaded a preview video of the Class 50s, trying to gather all available info to date. The link is here. If I have missed anything, I would greatly appreciate you knowledgable folks letting me know!
  4. Thanks for the video link - very smooth! A few questions if you don’t mind; is the movement automated in any way or is it just hand operated, and lined up by eye? is the ‘headshunt’ piece long enough for anything other than an 08? Thanks.
  5. Wow. For a first year modeller, that is superb Chris. Keep it up and we’ll see you showing it off at exhibitions soon enough!
  6. Great to see things really moving on for you now.
  7. Excellent - very clean and neat looking baseboard. Keep us updated!
  8. @taunmarc88 - these are the traditional homes in my part of the world - built from around the turn of the last century onwards. They are small homes, and are now known as two-up-two-downs due to the basic configuration of rooms. Your eyes will adjust. They really were/are small homes! Plenty of them still in usable condition and lived in to this day.
  9. Pretty sure if you can cope with the complexities of live steam, then you're going to find HM7000 a walk in the park! As others have said - we are more than happy to help, and especially any TT120 related stuff, but the HM7000 forum will give you the best info for that system. PS - Shameless plug alert, but if it's of interest I did an HM7000 walkthrough video recently on MacTrains.
  10. Excellent Paul - thanks for taking the time. Amazing how effective a gentle hill and a tree line can be, and without the hassle of a tunnel.
  11. To revive the long-abandoned topic - for what it's worth I've just added a MacTrains video for improving running on these tankers and the Brake vans. By no means new for most folk on here and relying on forum wisdom and our conversation with Carl Hart.
  12. If you use Chrome, then click on the product page you are interested in, and then right click anywhere on the page and select "View Page Source". This gives you a whole load of HTML code, within which is a line of code that says something like "Expected Availability" followed by a date.
  13. Would you give us a 'closer to eye level' shot? Am interested to see how much elevation you have in the hills, and how much it hides the rear lines. Just if you get half a chance!
  14. For me it’s way easier to list the self-I posed rules that I’ve broken… Only do one small TT module - nope Make absolutely sure everyng is finished in one area before moving on - nope, not that either Check and double check all measurements and have everything properly square and level… guess what! Oh well! Always the next module…
  15. @Generic Hornby Username Sounds like you're convincing yourself there!
  16. Excellent Paul - love the colour palette too. What did you use for the ballast?
  17. Just had an email drop from Hornby PR, and it does say that certain exclusions apply to the discount. Could it be that whatever @Lyndon68 wants is somehow excluded?
  18. Be interesting to know what 50s have you all got ordered? I've gone with the BR Blue with sound, Leviathan.
  19. Welcome to May everyone... Just waiting now for these Class 50s to arrive in just over a fortnight! Oh, and the 21T wagons by the month's end too if the source code is correct... 🥳🥳
  20. That's a good point @Kenneth-365689. Next up is certainly their signals. What comes after that is less clear. I do know that they were pleased with the sales of their wagons, so I would hope they are investing further in TT. However being all-british based for manufacturing means they are not always able to be speedy in terms of production.
  21. I think the 66 was delayed largely because they gave its slots away to the second batch of Easterner and Scotsman sets. It certainly seems to have benefitted from the upgrades that are coming on stream, compared to the first locos, and yes, for those who were prudent enough to get in with quicks orders - an absolute steal!
  22. Keep ‘em coming Tim. Look great!
  23. @Bulleidboy - Spot on - many thanks - however being a goof myself what I meant to ask was if anyone knew what exact stay alive it was? Sorry for my blunder wasting your time.
  24. Excellent @moawkwrd Already like the sense of vertical scale. So often we forget just how tall real life is!
  25. I noticed this too - and was intrigued. However do note that Sam appears to be using the decoder in DCC mode, not Bluetooth mode, so the longevity of the stay alive is likely improved by that. Nonetheless quite interesting to note. Does anyone know exactly which decoder he was using? I felt that was the best Sam's episode in a while actually. Enjoyed it.
