MIleage712
It is all down to licensing and cold hard money...:-( Andy,I know it's all in the licensing. But I'd say if there is one car that is certainly to see a lot it will be the 2020 Corvette C8. I will go way out on a limb and say this car in it's 1:1 version is sure to outsell every other sports car on the road (even in it's base model). I'll bet this new design will cause 1:1 owners to seek out models to purchase.

glued and trued
how about a nice skoda octavia mk1? diesel? in silver?i actually plan to create my own with a kit. i know many say that scalextric should only be for race cars, but there are a lot of people who want models of their own regular cars, and that is not always easy.perhaps a potential tie in with car manufacturers, producing replica scalextric models that come as a gift when you buy a new car. i mean whats an extra 40 quid when youre spending 20 plus grand? Albeit without cool strobe lights in the front..Andy,I know the KITT car was made back in the late 80s / early 90s but let's be honest - it was a terrible model. It looked completely the wrong shape, it sat too high on its F1 wheels and it had blacked out windows with no interior. Oh, and it had "Knight Rider" tampo printed on the rear, something I never remember seeing on the TV show! No doubt it was limited by the technology of the time but it is begging for a reissue using modern tooling techniques. I'm very tempted to convert a 1/32 diecast model into a slot car.../media/tinymce_upload/e1d5fdbe6b49a91d64ae155d9024949c.png

Smokeman
The chaparral 2d in 1/32 scale is a winner. No one in recent history has made the model of it I am aware of. The chaparral 2d was unique in design for the time. A winner in history and would be for slotting.
