If you use the DPD app you can track the delivery time to within a few minutes so for my last DPD delivery I pretended to go outside and mess around with something in the boot of the car around the time the courier was due to turn up. It didn't work - the domestic authority came out to see what I was doing just as the courier was handing me the package. 🤣 Edited September 7 by Porfuera
PeterM67
I normally get deliveries on a Monday or Friday when working from home. My office is facing the road so I can see the DPD van and rush outside at the opportune moment. Unfortunately she has wised up to what is happening when I suddenly go to the door 🤣
Mac202
I find the impending arrival of the DPD man is often a good time to go and trim a couple of bushes in the front garden.
Martin-369195
Why don't you get DPD to deliver to a local pick up point? Then you can claim that you're just going to get the milk or bread or whatever.
PeterM67
I survived without detection however Hornby only despatched the Era 4 Duchess so I'll need to go through the whole process again in a few days time. Living life dangerously 🤣 2
Stratman 47
DPD have a facility to redirect your parcel to a collection pont so you can decide when would be the best time for you to collect it completely undetected! If you have the app on your phone (if not why not?). If you look at parcel activity and open it you will see the option to select a collection point near you. Mine is co-op convenience store which is less than 5 min walk from my house. You will receive a pick up pass on the app when it is ready to collect and it will also say how long they will hold it for collection. Show them this at the collection point and walk out with you parcel. I have used this ever since I found out about it. Brilliant system, works every time and you don't have to plan to be home! Win win. Good luck.

Rallymatt
Technically we don’t know what middle age is was until the very last day…. 🤣 Edited September 9 by Rallymatt 2
LTSR_NSE
Middle age has always depended on who you ask: • A child believes anyone in their 20s is ‘middle aged’ & anyone older is ‘ancient’ • Most in their 20s believe their 40s/50s will be ‘middle aged’ • Most in their 40s/50s (wishfully) believe that their 70s will be ‘middle aged’ • Most in their 70s+ will simply say they haven’t got there yet! 1

david_watts1
I own a Jaguar, so I've definitely had a mid life crisis and are middle aged.🤣Plus I'm back playing with toy trains again. 1
ntpntpntp
Using the same meta technique on the Arnold site, it looks like the tiny N gauge ASF battery shunting tractor is currently expected the day before my birthday in December.... that would be nice as I have a DCC one on pre-order 🙂

It’ll be mid September soon 😊 Hope this clears everything up for you 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
