  1. I hope not, I'd rather have a real black eye a than let that stuff near my eyes. No I reckon they just gave him a damn good thrashing. 😆
  2. How are the power wires connected to the track?
  3. I wonder how many idiots thought that was genuine? i thought it was very well done.
  4. What the heck has Trump got to do with it? 🤔 Got an iPad, fantastic, so thought why not an iPhone.
  5. Thanks Jacob. Just wanted to see if it worked. It did. 😆 Jacob have a look at the Thomas section, needs you expertise.
  6. just added this on my brand new iPhone. Never owned an iPhone before. /media/tinymce_upload/94199616f3607e43a60ef525c978697a.JPG
  7. None of my Gaugemasters came with track power leads.
  8. I have checked the service sheet on here and it looks like 2290A/B/C are 3 pole. 2290D is 5 pole.
  9. If you think this forum is rubbish go elsewhere. None of the other companies supply us with a forum.
  10. Still think it's best just to push them in with no pre drilled hole.
  11. Waste of money in my view. Still each to his/her own.
  12. I thought it was a bit beaky HB. Home made I reckon.
  13. The Peco ones are a tad flimsy.
  14. I would say that isn't the original face because it doesn't have a mouth and is a different size to the original. What do you think Jacob?
  15. I agree it is scratchbuilt. If it is a kit it hasn't been built very well.
  16. Lyd how in heavens name did you bend track pins in ply. Did you use a club hammer? I always push mine in with the end of some pliers but................. I only use Gaugemaster pins, very sharp with a perfectly flat head, like me.
  17. I think we are lucky to have it, Hornby certainly don't need to supply it.
  18. I had a look at the service sheet. Only shows the loco chassis without its top on.
  19. I run everything. Model locos are not really an investment unless you never take them out of the box and keep the box sealed in clingfilm or similar and out of the sunlight. What is the point of that. Need to be pretty rare to be worth more than you paid. Buy a painting if you want a profit.
  20. I use 18mm ply on a strong frame. Good track pins can be pushed into it. Very strong and rigid.
  21. Wouldn't have thought it matters. Will it fit either way. I just googled it and looked at some photos. In one you can see the edge of the motor through the cab window. The fan is at the same end. Why not try it and have a look for yourself.
  22. Well it is their forum that they kindly supply for us 😆
  23. This is why I don't muck about with other materials for ballast. The proper stuff doesn't conduct electricity, unless it is wet.
