  1. The 'A' after the R number means the coach has a different number to the R without the A. However in this case it seems the one with the A has two numbers shown. Not sure why but I am pretty sure it will be different to the other coach. I reckon it is a printing error on the Hornby site. If you look at Rails of Sheffield it shows the two coaches with different numbers.
  2. Sellotape will not last very long in extremes of temperature. Evostick/UHU type glues are without doubt best for windows, particularly when applied using the Metcalfe type applicator.
  3. Harold is based on a Westland Whirlwind produced 1953-1966. A very early helicopter.
  4. The card also gives you discount at some venues. I got money off at Brooklands Museum by showing the card a few years ago even though the discount wasn't mentioned anywhere.
  5. Think you only confused one person Neil. It is always worth posting bargains like that.
  6. That could be true but the motors are unlikely to be unique to the Thomas range.
  7. They'll be back. Just google them occasionally.
  8. The welcome letter is just that. As long as you have the card that is all you need. Linking the card is odd, it appears not to work but often has. Apart from buying the club exclusive model I don't think it serves any other purpose. Give them a ring after the Christmas holiday.
  9. Hattons are very good at using the word discontinued.
  10. Strange. Obviously a bad batch, bit like when a certain make of car or washing machine has a problem.
  11. I have never had a problem with a motor. You're not running it on DCC are you?
  12. Generally the 'man in the model shop' gives nothing but duff gen.
  13. That's good. To me it would be obvious that each end had a dound decoder because the HST uses both power cars at all times.
  14. Where are they, a picture would help.
  15. Maybe you could put sound in two HST's with the twin pack. As the real HST has sound at each end surely the model should also.
  16. Hornby will reveal their 2020 range on the 06 January so your guess is as good as ours.
  17. No problem Jacob. It sticks fingers better than cardboard.
  18. I had PVA/UHU glued Metcalfe and Superquick buildings on my very hot/very cold loft layout for years, and the are still OK now they are in the spare room.
  19. Super glue doesn't stick everything.
  20. No not super glue. Too expensive considering the amount required and useless for card.
  21. UHU or PVA is best. I mainly use PVA.
  22. Should always check con rods at regular intervals.
  23. I leave a plasic box at the rear of the house for parcels if we are not going to be in but they are usually given to a neighbour. Never had anything put in the bin or chucked over the fence. Did have a box of wine put into a skip on one occasion, and the skip was't at our house. Our courier service is excellent in this part of the UK, mostly DPD.
