  1. If as Jacob said Thomas etc. is made up, how come I have seen Thomas at heritage railways? LC that is a very interesting point you make about the faces on wagons and coaches. Must be some kind of magic.
  2. Hattons do deliver world wide and do deliver to France. I know Yelrow can't seem to get them to deliver to him but I know sombody in Amiens who is happy with their service.
  3. Does say TTS decoders or TTS twin pack on the blurb. Glad you are a happy customer. 😀
  4. Thought you did. Modern System 6 confused me, easily done. 🤔
  5. When you say modern Hornby System 6 track do you mean the old System 6 or modern code 100 track?
  6. I do not think it is a good idea to run a loco in upside down. Part of the running in process is having the loco on the track.
  7. And Marham on the other side.
  8. Tornado has an RAF Leeming plate on one side.
  9. I take it you never needed anybody's help in any way Sarah?
  10. I wasn't referring to me as being a Thomas fan, I just meant I liked pictures. Post them, like I said we all like pictures.
  11. Look forward to seeing the pictures. I'm sure the other couple of fans won't object to any errors, they just like seeing pictures, as we all do. 😆
  12. We've covered this many times before. This isn't a Hornby problem it also affects other companies. Bachmann are quite a few years behind with several of their locos. In my view Hornby would be better not publishing any availability dates until the products have arrived on the slow boat from China, then people wouldn't worry about when things are due. As far as I am concerned the longer it takes the more time I have to save up for it. I rather like seeing the announcement that such and such loco is now available, particularly when I have forgotten it is on order. 😀 Model railways are not a matter of life and death. Nice to have something to look forward to. Happy Christmas.
  13. I find that liquid poly often doesn't work with locos, wrong sort of plastic.
  14. That is true Rob, they have an eye for these things. Surely with the coaches it would depend on which way they were travelling.
  15. All the books I used to read to the kids had Thomas and the other engines pulling all manner of wagons and coaches except perhaps for Gordon.
  16. Hope they have coal to run all these locos, if they are still allowed to use it. I have my doubts.
  17. I've seen a TTS in an N gauge diesel so it should fit in a tender. Must be a small speaker though.
  18. Google 'coreless motors' and all will be revealed.
  19. Sometimes a 5 year old thread is opened with a remark/question that apart from the title bears little resemblance to the original. It may contain 10 pages with photographs. Quite often now somebody will open an old post and reply to the original poster who asked the question 4 years ago and has not been seen since. 😀
  20. I did notice it was old but answered anyway.
  21. It was an experiment that wasn't a success and Hornby quite rightly abandoned the idea. The loco was pretty cheap and ideal for detailing.
  22. True that Hornby don't make it a requirement according to their instructions. Like most of their instructions they are rarely updated. Time they were edited I reckon. 😆
  23. I agree with you LC, at no point did you say Hornby don't need running in.
