I just paint the sides of the rails using a small brush. I only paint the sides you can see. I like most people don't have any spraying equipment..................yet. It only takes a short time. Clean the tops of the rails to remove any paint. Be extra careful around points. /media/tinymce_upload/6c5523668c3888136d854ec43935e656.jpg
To the right hand silver tag, second picture I reckon. Put the loco on the track, turn on the power and touch the tag with the wire. See if ot moves. Simples.
Out of stock on this site just means Hornby don't have any in the warehouse at present. Hattons discontinued means absolutely nothing. Keep looking, there are lots of retailers on line. It will be back I can almost guarantee.
You should recognise the horse ? Margate-Richmond is the reborn SotT. I know that Rob, he is also no longer on the forum. If I had mentioned Margate-R, Viking wouldn't have known who I was talking about, would he. 😉
To help you we need a little more information, Hornby have made lots of Flying Scotsman locos, an R number and a picture of the offending part would help. Your post will probably be moved to the General Section.
