  1. I don't think the reason they can get hot really matters, the fact is they can. I guess the more points you have the bigger the chance.
  2. I believe they can get very hot if not fitted well, regardless of the layouts size.
  3. I reckon eBay is the best way I'm afraid. Cheap and quick delivery. If you can't get any from the shops here in a Link to eBay
  4. I purchase a box of assorted metric nuts, bolts and washer for a few quid. Very useful.
  5. I am using an iPad and don't have Control V etc. Thanks anyway. I'll have a practice. When ever I post a link it is always clickable without having to use the chain link.
  6. Chris I know how to make a link clickable using the chain link but how do you assign the link a name like "here"?
  7. I always thought the system worked very well although once connected it was best to leave it that way.
  8. Take my word for it, it bends. I had a length of flexi, on my old loft layout, between two firmly fixed points and on a very hot day it distorted more than a inch each side of the centreline.
  9. I've always found the connection to be very sound but once connected I rarely disconnect it.
  10. I thought we are allowed to endorse products that Hornby don't produce. e.g. N gauge track, working semaphore signals, decent range of DC controllers etc. 😆
  11. You'd better get round there and sort them out Colin.
  12. At least you were working on your loco Colin, I wasn't, I dropped the iron on it. stupid boy.
  13. Horrible aren't they, but do have their uses, not the way they have been used in your case.
  14. You could be right although so far the only spare I have purchased is a loco body from Bachmann. Melted the original body with a soldering iron.
  15. Good plumbing. /media/tinymce_upload/7e048dff54023a2507cf0f1dde9d8dd3.JPG
  16. I'm sure their spares section on here is getting bigger but of course they are bound to not have the bit you want.
  17. Not sure Mazak would work as piston sliders, too fine. They are usually made of plastic. The old metal ones were best. A bit hefty but very strong.
